THE FIRST FOUR KINGDOMS OF

DANIEL. And there are seven kings:fiveare fallen, and one is, [and] the other is notyet come; and when he cometh, he must

and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the

Five are fallen, and one is, and the other

is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must

continue a short space. The Prophecy has

traced the rise and fall of the world's great

empires--Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece,and Rome.EGW, Education, 177.

GABRIEL GIVES THE KEY TO THEPUZZLE. Thus he (the angel Gabriel) said,

The fourth beast shall be the fourthkingdom upon earth,which shall be diverse

from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole

earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in

pieces. And the ten horns out of this

kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise:

and another shall rise after them; and he

shall be diverse from the first, and he sha

subdue three kings. And he shall speak[great] words against the most High, and

shall wear out the saints of the most High

and think to change times and laws: and

they shall be given into his hand until a tand times and the dividing of time. Dan

THE PAPACY - THE FIFTH BEAST KINGDOM. 538 AD - 1798 AD. The fifth

beast is described thus: In (Rev. chapter 1

(verses 1-10) is described another beast, "li

unto a leopard," to which the dragon gave

"his power, and his seat, and great authority."

This symbol, as most Protestants have

believed, represents the papacy, which

succeeded to the power and seat andauthority once held by the ancient RomanEmpire. Of the leopard-like beast it is

declared: "There was given unto him a mouth

speaking great things and blasphemies. . . .And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against

ELOHIM, to blaspheme His name, and His

tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And

it was given unto him to make war with the

saints, and to overcome them: and power was

given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and

nations." This prophecy, which is nearlyidentical with the description of thelittle horn of Daniel 7, unquestionablypoints to the papacy. EGW, GC 439.

THE SIXTH BEAST - THE LAMB LIKEHORN USA. And I beheld anotherbeast coming up out of the earth; andhe had two horns like a lamb, and hespake as a dragon. And he exercisethall the power of the first beast beforehim, and causeth the earth and themwhich dwell therein to worship the first

beast, whose deadly wound washealed. Rev. 13:11, 12.

THE SIXTH BEAST OR KINGDOM THE USA. This sixth kingdom is alluded to

Rev. 17:10 as the one is, and is describein more detail inRev. 13:11-18. The prophe

EGW pointed out how the USA was rising

into power in 1798.

What nation of the New World was in1798 rising into power, giving promise of

strength and greatness, and attracting the

attention of the world? The application of th

symbol admits of no question. One nation, a

only one, meets the specifications of this

prophecy; it points unmistakably to theUnited States of America.EGW, GreaControversy, p. 440.

IS COMMUNISM THE SIXTH BEAST?Bible students have attempted to ignore the USAs clear cut

description in Bible prophecy by placing communism, a creation ofthe man of sin, as the sixth beast. In doing this they ignore thelamb-like horn beast description in Rev. 13, and the Spirit of

Prophecy, that unmistakably portrays the USA in prophecy arisingin 1798. Perhaps the spirit of communism is to be found in the

seventh kingdom. Consider the following.

THE TEN KINGDOMS."These (ten kings)have one mind." There will be a universal

bond of union (United Nations), one great harmony (a One WorldOrder), a confederacy of Satan's forces (New World Order). "And

liberty, freedom to worship ELOHIM according to the dictates of

conscience, as was manifested by the papacy, when in the past itpersecuted those who dared to refuse to conform with the religious

The so-called Christian world is to be the

theater of great and decisive actions. Men inauthority will enact laws controlling the

conscience, after the example of the papacy.

THE MEANING OF THE BEASTS.A beast represents a kingdom. These

great beasts, which are four,[are]fourkings,[which] shall arise out of the earth.

Dan. 7:17. Thus he said, The fourth beast

shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and

shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it

down, and break it in pieces.Dan. 7:23.

THE HEAD REPRESENTS AKINGDOM.A head represents a kingdom.

After this I beheld, and lo another, like aleopard, which had upon the back of it four

wings of a fowl; the beast had also four

heads; and dominion was given to it.Dan.

7:6. (Alexander the Greats kingdom was

divided at his death in four: Cassander,

Lyssimacus, Ptolemy, Seleucid).

The words, "Thou art this head of gold,"

made the deepest impression upon

Nebuchadnezzar's mind the head of gold,which was a representation of hiskingdom.EGW, Youth Instructor, February

THE MEANING OF THE HORNS OFTHE BEASTS. A horn represents akingdom, or a ruler. The ram which thou

sawest having[two]horns[are]the kings ofMedia and Persia. And the rough goat [is]the king of Grecia: and the great horn that

[is]between his eyes [is] the first king. Nothat (horn) being broken, whereas four sto

up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out the nation, but not in his power.Dan. 8:20-

22.

And a mighty king(Alexander the greashall stand up, that shall rule with great

dominion, and do according to his will. And

when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be

broken, and shall be divided toward the fowinds of heaven; and not to his posterity, n

according to his dominion which he ruled: fo

his kingdom shall be plucked up, even forothers beside those.Dan.11:3, 4.

LUCIFER (PAPACY) SHALL PLANT

THE TABERNACLES OF HIS PALACE THE HOLY MOUNTAIN.

But tidings out of the east (the sign of

Son of man in heaven, Mat. 24:30) and out

the north (the Holy Mountain of ELOHIM,

Eze. 28:14) shall trouble him (the king of th

north-the papacy): therefore he shall go fowith great fury to destroy (persecution, de

decree), and utterly to make away many.

And he (Lucifer) shall plant the tabernacle

of his palace between the seas in the glorioholy mountain (Jerusalem, Dan. 9:16; Joel3:17; Isa. 66:20; 27:13); yet he shall come

his end, and none (ten kingdoms) shall he

LUCIFER- PAPACY, THE EIGHT BEAST KINGDOM.

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is (the sixth

kingdom-the papacy),and is not(because of the wounded

head by Gen. Berthier, Napoleon, Garibaldi and the

American continental independence movement), even he is

the eighth (in sequential order),and is of the seven, and goeth

leopard (Grecia: education and culture), and

his feet were as [the feet] of a bear (Medo-

Persia: infallibility), and his mouth as the

mouth of a lion (Babylon: its ruler requiresworship): and the dragon (Satan-pagan Rome)

gave him his power, and his seat, and great

authority. And I saw one of his heads as it

were wounded to death (Gen. Berthier too

the pope prisoner in 1798); and his deadly

wound was healed (1929 Mussollini, 1983

President Reagan): and all the worldwondered after the beast (2005 death of J

THE ROLE OF AMERICAN PROTESTANTISM.What is it that gives its kingdom to this power?

Protestantism, a power which, while professing to have thetemper and spirit of a lamb and to be allied to Heaven, speakswith the voice of a dragon. It is moved by a power from beneath(Letter 232, 1899). EGW, 7BC 983.5

THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON.And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs

[come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out

of the mouth ofthe beast, and out of the mouthof the false prophet.Rev. 16:13.

For they are the spirits of devils, workingmiracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of theearth and of the whole world, to gather them to

the battle of that great day of ELOHIMAlmighty.Rev. 16:14.

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he thatwatcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk

naked, and they see hisshame.Rev. 16:15.

And he gathered them together into aplace called in the Hebrew tongue

Armageddon.G717

Rev. 16:16.The two armies will stand distinct and

separate, and this distinction will be so marked

that many who shall be convinced of truth will

come on the side of ELOHIM's commandment-

keeping people. When this grand work is to

take place in the battle, prior to the last clos

conflict, many will be imprisoned, many w

flee for their lives from cities and towns,and many will be martyrs for Christ's sak

in standing in defense of the truth.EGWMar. 199.2.

THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON.Comprehending that all of the hosts of heaven

assemble to meet with YAHUWAH at His

Mo'edim, His Feasts, the significance of Lucifstatement at the time of his eviction from heav

becomes even greater:

"12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O

Lucifer, son of the morning![how]art thou

down to the ground, which didst weaken thnations! 13 For thou hast said in thine hear

will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my thron

above the stars of ELOHIM: I will sit also

upon the mount of the congregation (mo'ed

in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend abovethe heights of the clouds; I will be like the most

High.Isaiah 14:12-14.

In theEnglishman's Hebrew-English Concordance it is pointed out that theHebrew word, "mo'ed"is a contraction of the

word,"mogeed." The Hebrew word for "mount"

is "har." Thus, Satan's desire to sit upon the"mount of the mo'ed", in Hebrew is"har

mogeed." This is the source for Revelation's

"Battle of Armageddon." Revelation 17 defines a

"mountain" as a "kingdom." The "Battle of Har

Mogeed"is theBattle of the feasts days, of

worship: of YAHUWAH the Creator vs theLucifer the created cherub.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial

upon the great river Euphrates; and the water

thereof was dried up, that the way of the kingsof the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw

THE BATTLE DURING THE SEVENTHPLAGUE.We need to study the pouring out

of the seventh vial[Rev. 16:17-21]. The powers

of evil will not yield up the conflict without astruggle. But Providence has a part to act inthe battle of Armageddon. When the earth is

lighted with the glory of the angel ofRevelation eighteen, the religious elements,

good and evil, will awake from slumber, and

the armies of the living ELOHIM will take thefield.--7BC 983 (1899). {LDE 251.3}

TRUMPET AFTER TRUMPET, VIAL

AFTER VIAL POURED OUT.The power of

the Holy Ghost must be upon us, and the

Captain of the Lord's host will stand at thehead of the angels of heaven to direct the

battle. Solemn events before us are yet totranspire.Trumpet after trumpet is to besounded, vial after vialpoured out one after

another upon the inhabitants of the earth.Scenes of stupendous interest are right upo

us. {Mar 257.4}THE ARMIES OF HEAVEN WILL

COME TO THE RESCUE.A noise shallcome even to the ends of the earth; for the L

hath a controversy with the nations, He will pl

with all flesh; he will give them that are wicke

to the sword, saith the Lord.Jer. 25:31.

The battle of Armageddon is soon to be

fought. He on whose vesture is written the

name, King of kings and Lord of lords, lead

forth the armies of heaven on white horses,clothed in fine linen, clean and white[Rev.19:11-16].--7BC 982 (1899). {LDE 251.4}.

THE BATTLE TO OCCUR AFTER THSEALING OF ELOHIMS PEOPLE. Four

mighty angels hold back the powers of this ear

till the servants of ELOHIM are sealed in their

foreheads. The nations of the world are eage

for conflict; but they are held in check by th

angels. When this restraining power isremoved, there will come a time of trouble a

anguish. Deadly instruments of warfare wil

invented. Vessels, with their living cargo, wbe entombed in the great deep. All who hav

not the spirit of truth will unite under the

leadership of satanic agencies. But they arebe kept under control till the time shall comfor the great battle of Armageddon. {Mar

THE MARK OF THE BEAST.The lig

WHO CHANGED THE FEAST DAYS TOHOLYDAYS? What have we said is the "markof the beast"? Answer: the change ofSabbath to

Sunday by the Catholic Church. Yet, the

Catholic Church claims to be responsible for

changing not only the seventh-day Sabbath,but also all of the Mosaic Feasts!

"The Catholic church abolished not only

the Sabbath, but all the other Jewishfestivals." T. Enright C.S.S.R., Bishop of the St.

Alphonsus'(Rock) Church, St. Louis, Missouri,

June, 1905."As to the Sabbath, which was a sign

recalling the first creation, its place is taken by

the Lord's Day, which recalls the beginning of

the new creature in the Resurrection of Christ.In like manner other solemnities of the Old

Law are supplanted by new solemnitiesbecause the blessings vouchsafed to that people

foreshadowed the favours granted us by

Christ. Hence the feast of the Passover gaveplace to the feast of Christ's Passion and

Resurrection; the feast of Pentecost when the

Old Law was given, to the feast of Pentecost on

which was given the Law of the living spirit;the feast of the New Moon, to the feast of the

Blessed Virgin, when appeared the first rays ofthe sun, that is Christ, by the fullness of grace;the feast of Trumpets, to the feasts of the

THE ANTICHRIST. I remind the readerthat "anti-", as in "anti-christ," in both the Greek

and the old English, has the meaning, "in thplace of." All the Catholic feasts are "in the p

of" the Divinely appointed times for the work

"Christ."

We have linked the mark of the beast ofRevelation 13 to the "thinking to change time

and laws" ofDaniel 7:25. The word for "tim

is Strong's H2166, zeman, the Aramaic equiviof the Hebrew word, "mo'ed," which is transla

as "feast" in Leviticus 23.

Several Bible translations even translateDaniel 7:25 as, "thinking to change feasts and

laws."So, one of the places where more light is to

come is in regard to additional understanding

about the mark of the beast. Here we are

pointing out that not only was the Sabbath

changed, but also all of YAHUWAHS Feasts

days. The scroll has unrolled.

For thou hast said in thine heart, I willascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne

above the stars of ELOHIM: I will sit also

upon the mount of the congregation, in thesides of the north: I will ascend above the

The mark of the Beast is exactly what it

has been proclaimed to be. Not all in regard

THE TIME OF JACOBS TROUBLE.As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the

disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may thisapostasy (National Sunday Law) be a sign to us that the limit of

ELOHIM's forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation'siniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her

flight, never to return. EGW, Mar p. 199.3

By the decree(National Sunday Law)enforcing the institution of the papacy inviolation of the law of ELOHIM, our nation

[the United States] will disconnect herself

fully from righteousness....EGW, Mar p.

As the approach of the Roman armies

was a sign to the disciples of the impending

destruction of Jerusalem, so may this

apostasy (NSL) be a sign to us that the limitof ELOHIM's forbearance is reached, that

the measure of our nation's iniquity is full,and that the angel of mercy is about to takeher flight, never to return. The people of

ELOHIM will then be plunged into those

scenes of affliction and distress which

prophets have described as the time of

Jacob's trouble. The cries of the faithful,

persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the

blood of Abel cried from the ground, there arevoices also crying to ELOHIM from

martyrs' graves, from the sepulchers of the

sea, from mountain caverns, from conventsvaults: "How long, O Lord, holy and true,dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on

them that dwell on the earth? EGW,

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY TO BE

ABOLISHED. And the Constitutionguarantees to the people the right of self-

government, providing that representativeselected by the popular vote shall enact and

administer the laws.Freedom of religiousfaith was also granted, every man being

permitted to worship ELOHIM according to

the dictates of his conscience. Republicanism

and Protestantism became the fundamental

principles of the nation. These principles

are the secret of its power and prosperityEGW,GC 442.

The papacy has always opposed our

constitution. An American Catholic cardina

says to freedom loving Americans everywhe

"I want to hear some American stand upand shout; 'Give us justice, give us decenand to hell with the constitution'." The

Catholic News 7/25/1963.

They do not see that if a Protestantgovernment sacrifices the principles that

have made them a free, independent natiand through legislation brings into the

Constitution principles that will propagapapal falsehood and papal delusion, they

symbolism, representing the Papacy and the

with "ELOHIM taking the reins in His own

We have many lessons to learn, and many, many

to unlearn. Elohim and Heaven alone are

infallible. Those who think that they will never

have to give up a cherished view, never have

occasion to change an opinion, will be

disappointed. As long as we hold to our own

ideas and opinions with determined

persistency, we cannot have the unity forwhich Christ prayed. When a brother receives

new light upon the Scriptures, he shouldfrankly explain his position, and everyminister should search the Scriptures with the

spirit of candor to see if the points presented

can be substantiated by the inspired word.EGW, TM 29.
