Man to God Relationship 1-4 Remove sin – peace with God
Man to Man Relationship 5-8 Live peaceably with others
Poor – to be without
Without pride and arrogance
Humble = teachable
Blessed are the Poor in Spirit
The first Beatitude
Mourns - to grieve, to be in sorrow
Sorry for our sins
Repentance
Blessed are they that Mourn
The second Beatitude
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”
The Third Beatitude
Meek
Does not mean
Weakness, timid Indifference Inferiority complex Coward False humility
Meek
Break a young horseHe will be Obedient

Spiritual Meaning
Get more out of life on earth “A little that a righteous man
hath is better than the riches of many wicked.” Ps. 37:16
Man of meekness is happier
Abundant life here and…In the world to come eternal life.
Secret of possessing everything
Calmness - mildness

Principle - Godly sorrow
Application - Repentance
Blessed are they that Mourn
The second Beatitude
Specific - Allows God to control
Results - Inherit the earth
Principle - Submission - trust
Application - Confession of faith
Blessed are the Meek
