)Mum wins ‘Best in Show’!Following winning the “Best of Munchies” stallholder award as voted for by the public at this years Munchies on the Meadow in Cobham, Mum has been asked to do a live demonstration on the food stage at this year’s Brogdale Farm Cherry Festival on July 16th. Catch her there where she will be showing how to decorate a cake using buttercream techniques. Mum will also be judging the Chalk Village Fair’s first Bake Off competition on July 8th. Pop along to Chalk Church for a wonderful family outing.

)Spadework is GrowingSpadework’s one-acre veg plot has been transformed into a beautiful market garden. The lower field at the charity’s training centre for adults with learning disabilities, in Offham, was unloved, rocky and full of weeds. 5 years of hard work, and a grant from The Big Lottery Fund, which paid for irrigation and polytunnels, now produces carefully grown, tasty crops, ranging from ten different chillies and multi-coloured tomatoes, to rainbow chard and red Brussels sprouts. All feature on Spadework’s Cafe menu, are sold in the Farm Shop and at the monthly Farmers’ Market.
