V Note from G:

Its been a hectic month, busy shooting and reflecting and planning.

I feel like I have a mountain on my shoulders . . . I don’t like what

I’m shooting, some creative block I have to sort out . . . Vivid chat

giving trouble . . . and that's just the easy stuff. Then I had a look

at this months images, and man I am full of ....... well lets just leave

it at that.

There was some great work done on Vivid this month. We had us a

awesome Open day, and lots of events on the way. So all in all its

going great. Keep the good work coming. Help out a friend or

fellow tog, and lets all just grow and grow.

See you online

“The sun shines upon me . . . Once again . . .

After a hundred year winter.

Radiating heat awakens my quivering body . . .

Now shimmering with the falling ice.

I emerge.

Quietly.

Gently.

Silently.”

Actually its easy, the top 3 photographers

have all been featured already, and so I decided that

I would do this. Its more for fun than anything, but I thought

I would show you the history of my work, from where it started to

the present. And yes, you can laugh and make jokes all you like.

Page 54: The best of Vividtraining feb2011

The first few master pieces I show

you, are all done in what's now

known as the BenQ Year.

My weapon of choice (or lack there

of) was a 1.3 MegaPixel detachable

web cam. The theme was always

Elli, and the motivation was mostly

red wine. But man did we have

tons of fun.

Page 55: The best of Vividtraining feb2011
Page 56: The best of Vividtraining feb2011

Then came the Canon years,

first a friend of ours from

Washington sent me a camera,

after looking at the BenQ

work I so proudly sent him.

It was a 2.1 Mp Canon S10,

with 2 x Optical zoom.

Now this may not sound like

much, but after the BenQ, it

was a Pro tool, and in my

mind the work showed it

clearly. So much so that I got

some models to pose for

me. Ok just my niece, but

still. They loved it, had it

printed and framed and

hung it on a wall. That

was the beginning .

Page 57: The best of Vividtraining feb2011

After shooting with it for a year, I

went big and bought my first SLR.

A bright second-hand Canon 300D

with a kit lens. It was just more

than any man could use. It’s to this

day one of my favourite camera’s.

With that camera I shot so many

images. It got more serious, I got

critical of my work, and I shot and

shot and shot. 2-3 times a week,

as I had to learn and learn fast, this

was going to be my next profession.

I knew that then already.

After shooting with the

300D for a year, I gave

up working and started

taking photos full time.

Page 58: The best of Vividtraining feb2011

From there I have just not

stopped, and I cant, even if I

wanted to.

So have a look, have a laugh

and if I say something about a image of yours, go look at

these older shots. Just imagine what you would have said to

me.

Yours sincerely . . .

V Kyle Goulden Caption: j'ai aimé votre âme

"Que la vérité de vos yeux ont été trahis par vos paroles,

mais grâce à ces éternelle jours, j'ai aimé votre âme."

"That truth of your eyes were betrayed by your words, but

through those everlasting days, I loved your soul."

----------------------------

The lighting was sponsored from the sun with an "overcast

cloud cover" as a diffuser. :)

One of the best photos I have ever taken , IMHO. And the

best isnt even on here yet.

Big thanks to all my friends on "Vivid Training" for the

awesome open day where I shot this. The model designed the

dress herself.

I love that in a model. :)

P.S. I know that the skin is a little smooth, but it works better

for the effect and mood than a more realistic skin-texture. Its

a matter of taste. :)
