    Back to the Beginning

Acts 3:20 and that He may send JesusChrist, who was preached to you before, 21whom heaven must receive until the times ofrestoration of all things, which God has

spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophetssince the world began. (NKJ)

    Serious Questions

Can we agree that when our Creator made theheavens and the earth, that there were no flawsand that He made all things perfect?

Can we agree that everything that He had made in

the garden was perfect and He never intended ordesired for anything to change for all eternity?

Would you agree with me that if Adam had notsinned, everything that was said to be very good

would still be perfect and unchanged?

    Serious Questions

Would you agree with me that in thebeginning all things were perfect.

Then Adam sinned and sent the world into atailspin of constant groaning and imperfection.

BUT, at some point in the future when theMessiah comes back, He will restore all thingsback to the original state of perfection.

    Motivation is Everything!

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God endedhis work which he had made; and he restedon the seventh day from all his work which hehad made. 3 And God blessed the seventh

day, and sanctified it: because that in it hehad rested from all his work which Godcreated and made.

  • 8/8/2019 The Biblical Sabbath

    Original Intent

So, if He set apart the 7th day in the gardenwhen everything was said to be perfect, andit was never His intention for anything toever change from that perfection, and the

scriptures tell us that He is going to restoreall things back to the beginning, isnt itlogical to assume that the Sabbath on the7th day was never intended to change?

    The Game plan

Israel was chosen to be the captain of theteam and their job was to do what theowner of the team desired.

This would result in the team being soblessed that all the other players from theother teams would want to quit their teamsand come and play on the Israelite team.

    Bottom Line

The Sabbath, was given to the whole worldin Genesis 2 when everything was perfectand was clearly intended to be for all time.

It is much more likely that the Judaizers arejudging the new converts for not keeping theSabbath the WAY they keep it.

Because the Julian calendar was instituted in around 45

AD and was kept all the way up to the 1500s, when theGregorian calendar took its place.

So, we have perfect record that the Roman Saturday hasalways been the 7th day of the week.

Also, the Jews have been keeping the Sabbath forthousands of years and there is no group that believesin the 7th day Sabbath that even claims any other day.

There is no where in the scriptures that prophesies of

such a major change of what God called eternal, or evena debate in the NT or other writings.

    Why?
