Skills and Training Enhancement Project (STEP), a joint project of Bangladesh government, Canada and World Bank, has been implemented in the country since 2010 to improve technical education. The STEP has been organizing Skills Competition for the diploma-level students of the country since 2014. The main objective of the project is to motivate diploma level students in innovations and to involve business people with these innovations. STEP Skills Competition held on 24 December 2017 last year was the biggest ever competition of technical education arena.
One of the key goals of Skills Compilation is to establish industry-connectivity, engage the factories in innovative processes, evaluate market needs, and broaden the path to develop the creativity of students. This unique contest of creative intellectual quest has created a huge stir among technical students today.In this way, one day our technical students will stand high in the world with their talents, skills, and creativity, and they will grow up to from an united ‘skilled Bangladesh’.
