The Birth of Image Manipulation
Meet Guiseppe: Born in 1527, son
of a painter. Trained in painting
and art, worked on church windows and tapestries.
In 1562, he is assigned to be the court painter for Ferdinand I in Vienna.
Guiseppe’s Work At first, Guiseppe was a standard
court portraitist. No big deal. But, given the fascination with
witchcraft, the occult and puzzles during this time, Guiseppe began to paint his now-famous “nature portraits.”
