Introduction

• Blood is a specialized bodily fluid that delivers necessary substances to the body's cells. It transports waste products. It is the supply of oxygen to tissues. It is the supply of nutrients such as glucose and amino acids. The blood is 7% of the human body weight.

The Anatomy of the Blood

• The blood consists of 3 types of cells.

• The first one is red blood cells.• The second type is white blood

cells.• The third type is platelets.• Red blood cells carry oxygen

through the body.• White blood cells help to digest

the infections you have.• Platelets help to stop blood

clotting so we don’t lose any blood.

• The heart pumps blood through the arteries.

• The blood carry away waste products.

• The human body contains about 5 liters of blood.

• Plasma is the liquid part of the blood.

• All of the blood cells are produced in the bone marrow.

• It stands for Human Immune Virus and AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency.

• They are both diseases that you can get by sexual intercourse.

• You can also get it by using the same needle that someone else who has aids used.

• There is no cure for HIV or AIDS right now.

• Healthy people have blood drawn so that other people who need blood can get it

• Most of them are unpaid they do it for the greater good

• Before they give blood they have to get checked to see if their blood is good to use

• They need to give their medical history first.
