setup-Print out the gameboard and lay it on a flat surface.-Print and cut out the cards and place them facedown in a pile within easy reach of all the players. -Print and cut out the characters. Each player picks one and places it on the initial space of the game board.
to playThe youngest player goes first. Play then passes to the left.
On your turn, draw one card from the deck and then move your character as directed on it. Your turn is over. Place the card you used in a discard pile.
cardsWhen you draw a card with a heart on the back, breathe a sigh of relief! That’s something positive. Follow the instructions on the back of the card.
When you draw a card with a skull on the back, be very afraid! That’s something negative. Follow the instructions on the back of the card.
There are two shortcuts on the board: the subway and the troll path. They both only work one way: if you land on the beginning of the subway, move forward. If you land on the end of the subway, do nothing. The troll path works in the opposite way: if you land on the beginning, do nothing. If you land on the end, you’ll be sliding backwards.
How to win tHe gameIf you are the first person to reach the yellow space before the Foiled Castle, you’ve won the game.
