The Renewable Energy Friends of The Brookwood Community
April 2012-Updatefm
“By the Grace of God, the Renewable Energy Friends will provide Green Energy to The Brookwood Community that enhances the long term sustainability of the Community by reducing energy costs, increasing health and environmental benefits through reduced emissions and provide for a renewable energy learning center for adults and children with special needs. ”
Renewable Energy Friends of The Brookwood CommunityProject Mission
Green Energy is sustainable. It does not deplete like other energy resources, such as fossil fuels, and by using Green Energy we better our environment and our overall health and safety
Utilization of Green Energy electricity, technologies and applying energy efficiency controls at The Brookwood Community will help:
Lower energy and water costs to the Community Lower Citizen product costs to the market: increase margins Help promote a sustainable environment for the Community Accentuate the learning environment within and outside the
Community Respect world health and the earth’s environment
Renewable Energy Friends of The Brookwood CommunityProject Statement
The Brookwood Community will substantially reduce its energy costs and use self generated renewable energy O1: A minimum savings of $150,000 /year by 2012 O 2: Achieve >25% renewable by 2014 and reduce Brookwood’s energy /water costs by over $250,000/yr O3: Effectively eliminate Utility Costs by 2017
Technology and Methods employed will consist of: Retail Rate Reduction utilizing Green Energy to the extent possible Conduct an Energy Audit of the Community coupled with Demand Side
Efficiencies Wind Turbines , Solar Panels and Water Plant
Educational programs will be established to explain the technologies employed and teach sustainability, health and environmental benefits to adults and children with special needs
