CHRISTMAS AND THE HOLIDAYS AT THE JOCKEY

Christmas is fast approaching. We are planning to celebrate the Holi-days in fine, festive form that is be-fitting of our location here in Chorl-ton Green. Expect to see the Green done up in lights and a special fes-tive celebration of the Winter Sol-stice on Monday, December 21, 2009, featuring Christmas Carol-ers and a Brass Band, as well as the unmistakable taste of a good ol’ Hog Roast. Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without some piping hot Gluhwein on the terrace.

We have already published our Fes-tive Menu available for this holiday season, and we are now accepting

bookings. The Horse and Jockey is just the right place to host an eve-ning with friends and family to cele-brate the holidays.

Last month saw the kick-off to our new monthly Arts & Craft Fair at the Jockey. The restaurant and pub were transformed to host several artists, vendors selling their wares and local girl Sarah Mayhew doing live portraits. The event was a great success, and we look forward to repeating this in coming months. Our next event takes place Saturday, October 24 from 10-4. We will be helping the kids get ready for Halloween, with face painting and pumpkin carving.

Why not make a day of if and come treat yourself to the new brunch menu?
