Mr. France’s science classroom has been creepy this week...and the students did an awesome experiment with dry ice to add to the creepiness.

The kids found out that dry ice is heavier than regular ice and that it changes (sublimates) straight into gas, rather than water because it is frozen CO2.

Veterans Day Speech Contest

This year for the Veterans Day Speech Contest the students will write about the theme “One Hundred Years After the War to End All Wars”. The speeches will be delivered at our Veterans Day speech contest on November 8, at 7:00 PM. Mr. Keaton, previous principal of NTMS, helps the students with drafting and delivery of the speeches.

Each student who completes writing their speech will receive two NTMS service hours.

Each student who delivers their speech at the Veterans Day Speech Contest will receive five NTMS service hours.

Students who deliver their speeches at the elementary school assemblies will receive an additional hour of service time.
