Please make sure to take note of the
dates this year for Summer Fun and VBS! Our church has become a
polling facility and for the safety of
the children we have changed the first and third weeks of Summer Fun
to Wed & Thursday instead of
Tuesday and Thursday to help accommodate this. Also most of our
youth helpers will be gone the last
week of summer so we’ve moved up
our normal VBS week.

* PROCESSIONAL HYMN 305 Come Sing, O Church, in Joy! DARWALL’S
* SCOUT OATH AND LAW
* CALL TO CONFESSION
One: When we see God’s beautiful holiness, we recognize our own lack of holiness.
God is light and truth,
yet we live among shadows and lies.
People of God, let us acknowledge who and whose we are; let us ask our powerful God to illumine us with grace and truth.
Let us confess our sin,
first using the corporate Prayer of Confession,
followed by a time of personal, Silent Confession. Let us pray.
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION
All: God our Redeemer,
we confess that our lives do not reflect your glory.
You shine on us with wonder,
but we fail to see your beauty.
You speak to us with truth,
but we fail to heed your voice.
Forgive us, God of grace.
Lift the veil and open our eyes to your glory;
open our hearts to your mercy;
open our lives to your will;
through Jesus Christ our Lord...
* SILENT CONFESSION
* ASSURANCE OF PARDON
One: Amen. All of us, with unveiled faces,
seeing the gory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image
from one degree of glory to another,
for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven and transformed!
All: Praise be to God!
Large print Bulletins and Hearing Amplification Devices are available.
Nursery provided for infants through 2-year-old children.
* CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE - Gloria Patri #581
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in
the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
THE PROCLAMATION OF GOD’S WORD
A TIME FOR ALL GOD’S CHILDREN Cyndee Hazel

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
All: Holy God, you revealed to the disciples
the everlasting glory of Jesus Christ.
Grant us, who have not seen and yet believe,
the gift of your Holy Spirit,
that we may boldly live the gospel
and shine with your transforming glory
as people changed and changing
through the redeeming presence of our Savior. Amen.
