My name is Woody, and perhaps like me, you have been staying at home and honoring social distancing.
I was talking to a friend on the phone about these current challenges and decided to use the word “chrysalis” to describe this time.
As you know, inside a chrysalis a butterfly with beautiful wings is growing. This helped me to start thinking about my hopes and dreams for the future and what I want to look forward to, once the current limitations are eased.
I thought it would be fun to write my dreams on butterflies and place them around my home. Then I thought it would be fun to share these butterflies with my friends. So I put together this document that you can print out and share with your family and friends.
Because my birthday falls on October 12, I have always enjoyed the story of how Christopher Columbus set sail for a new world. I decided to merge these two metaphors into one concept thatI call the Butterfly Ship Coloring Project.
These are challenging times, and I think it is important to look beyond them with hopes and dreams for the future. You and your dreams are important! So, I invite you to join me by creating a butterfly ship with your beautiful dreams. Hopefully soon, we can all set sail on the adventure of helping to make this world a better and a more love-filled place for us all to enjoy.

Now it is �me to cut out your bu�erflies with a pair of scissors.
To prepare your bu�erflies to be a�ached, please go to the next page. (8)
You can use the back of each bu�erfly to share one of your dreams using wordsor a picture.
If you are going to give the bu�erfly to a friend or family member, you can write a special note on the back of the bu�erfly.
Describe how you will feel when you achieve this goal.
You can use markers or crayons to color your blank bu�erflies.
To help grow and build your dreams, place them in fun loca�ons, such as the refrigerator door, bathroom mirror, by your bed, or anywhere that they will spark the posi�ve energy that will help manifest your dream.
Goals/dreams are like flowers -- they need to be watered and tended to grow. The more o�en you think about and love your dreams, the more they will grow.

BUTTERFLY SHIP COLORING PROJECT

With glue s�ck, apply glue to long flat edge of bu�erfly.
Press the bu�erfly to the surface and hold it for a minute or two un�l the glue dries.
ATTACHING YOUR BUTTERFLIES
There are two ways you can a�ach your bu�erflies. With a glue s�ck or tape.
To fold your bu�erfly, bend it along the two inner lines as shown.
The bu�erfly should look like this when folded.
With tape, a�ach the bu�erfliesas shown.
