The Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama currently has seven men studying for the priesthood. While this is a blessing for the Diocese, it comes with a financial responsibility and obligation to educate, form, and support these men who have made many sacrifices by entering the seminary. The average cost per student per year is $36,000 which includes tuition, room and board. One of the best ways to financially support our seminarians is to make a tax-deductible donation to the Seminarian Education Fund for the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama. Income produced through this endowment fund is utilized to meet the rising costs of education and forming the future priests of our diocese. The Seminarian Education Fund began as the Diocesan Burse Club. It is a permanent fund set aside to provide income for the education of seminarians that Catholic Charities and grants do not cover. Donations made to the fund will continue to support our Vocations program every year, as long as the Diocese exists. A successful vocations program must be built upon a foundation of prayer. Your generosity will help make the fruit of that prayer a reality. Please pray daily for our priests and seminarians.
Support Our Future Priests—The Seminarian Education Fund All donors will be remembered in the prayers of the seminarians.
