E-giving Benefits

About 30 years ago, the vast majority of people re-

ceived a weekly paycheck and many of the other com-

mon financial responsibilities that a family had were

met weekly as well. Today however, pay cycles are

widely varied and nearly all other financial priorities

occur on a monthly cycle (mortgage, car payments,

utility bills, cell phone bills, etc.). Moving from a

weekly envelope to a program of E-Giving is an excel-

lent opportunity for families to consider giving as a

monthly, budgeted financial responsibility.

yet done so, there’s still plenty of time…one-time do-

Evangelization, Stewardship & Community Building

Alleluia! He Is Risen!

Happy Easter! I pray that the joy and peace of the Risen Lord be with you and your family.

It was a joy and an honor to celebrate with the parish communities of St. Joseph and St. Paul the liturgies of Holy Week and Easter. I am sincerely grateful to the parish staffs, musician, choirs, servers, readers, decorators, sacristans and all the other ministers who do so much to make these celebrations so beautiful.

A sincere welcome and congratulations to those who enter the Church at the Easter Vigil: Lafe Huckstead, Karen Sutton, Shawn Richardson, and Thomas and Brenda Crackel. I am very appreciative of the work of Jo Mayer, Deacon Ken Hilliard and the whole RCIA team in their ministry of sharing the Catholic faith with our neophytes.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Interested in Serving the Church as an Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) ? "Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion" is the formal title of laypeople who either take communion to pa-rishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to illness; and/or, assist the priest and deacon in distributing Eucha-rist during Mass. Candidates for this ministry should be Catholic Christians of at least 18 years of age living a sac-ramental life, active in the parish, and are willing to live their lives and exercise their ministry in a responsible way. If you have a love for the Eucharist and a willingness to serve your brothers and sisters, this ministry may be for you! Please contact Deacon Ken, [email protected], to volunteer or for more information.
