San Agustin’s 50th Annual

FIESTA Postponed

It is usually about this time of year that we begin planning for our annual Fiesta in September. Given all that our world and community is enduring, it is necessary for us to postpone our 50th Annual event until next year. We are still looking for ideas and help to make our next Fiesta a huge celebratory event and so we hope that you will consider assisting in some way. Please contact our Fiesta Chair Couple, Roger & Michele Snyder or the Parish Office to offer your ideas or lend a hand in the planning of this long standing, festive, community event!

As We Gather Once

Again…….

It is quite fitting that we re-open our church to slowly begin gathering again as a faith commu-nity on the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the Feast of Corpus Christi. I think we have all come to realize over these past few months of isolation, that no matter where we are or who we are with (even if we are alone), that together, WE are the BODY of CHRIST and WE are THE CHURCH. We do miss our gathering times and space and so this weekend, for those who are able or feel comfortable, we begin to resume worship in one place together again. Our staff has been preparing for this time for several weeks. We have had to purchase many extras in order to comply with the county and diocesan safety guidelines. I want to thank our staff, the volunteers and all those who have generously given so that we can pay our bills and re-open our doors. So that we may continue, I ask for any sup-port that you can give for these extras and thank you so very much for it! Our church looks and feels a bit different, we are limited to only 25% of our seating capacity and we will be taking measures to ensure that all who attend follow and wor-ship with the guidelines we have been given (wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, tem-perature taken and practice of social distancing). We ask for your patience, flexibility and understanding as we come together once again. The Bishop continues to grant dis-pensation for the Sunday Mass obligation to those who still feel vulnerable or whose health is compromised and so we will continue to offer a LIVE Stream Mass on Sun-days at 12 noon via our parish website for those who wish to continue to join us at home. Please note, the LIVE stream Mass is not open for public attendance. As we continue to worship, wherever we may be, may our FAITH be stronger than fear, our HOPE greater than despair and our LOVE deepening our relationship be-tween GOD and each other. With every good wish and blessing, Fr. Seamus
