Actively saving energy and reducing costsEnergy-saving automationSignificant energy savings can be achieved with intelligent and integrated building and room automation and with consistent demand-based control. Efficiency class A systems according to European Standard EN 15232 can be realized with the building automation systems Synco and GAMMA. They ensure that heating and cooling are only produced, distributed and deliv-ered when the user requires a comfort-able room climate. Thanks to GAMMA’s straightforward automatic lighting and shading technology, you can save up to additional 30 percent on electrical energy.

Energy efficiency according to eu.baceu.bac-certified RX room controllers offer control accuracy along with proven qual-ity in line with international norms and standards. Room climate is optimized, and unnecessary adjustments are thing of the past. With control accuracy from 0.1 to 0.2 K, up to 14 percent in energy savings can be achieved in comparison with non-certified controllers.

Integrated energy saving functionsMany building technology components have integrated energy saving functions, such as G120P variable speed drives. G120P offers convenient functions like hibernation and bypass mode as well as a special ECO mode. This results in low consumption and therefore low operating costs – thanks to PID controller and time switching function even without the need of further components.

Optimum air quality with low energy con-sumption: Symaro air quality sensors used in conjunction with controllers and variable speed drives provide optimized demand-controlled ventilation. For those in the room, this increases general well-being and the ability to concentrate. Experience and measurements have shown that energy and cost savings of up to 70 percent are possible.

Practical tools and useful appsThe tools and apps from Siemens support users with the choice of new products as well as when planning new projects. They are an easy and fast way to calcu-late energy savings and find all necessary information, even mobile. Another helpful support that relieves you of routine work in addition to the HVAC Integrated Tool (HIT) is the Energy Performance Classifi-cation (EPC) Tool.

Old2NewOld2New is a database containing a list of all former HVAC products produced by Landis+Gyr, Staefa Control System, Landis & Staefa and Siemens together with pictures and detailed information about the successor products. This app supports you when selecting replacement products, also presenting the respective data sheets.

Frequency to speed converterThe frequency to speed converter app converts the frequency (Hz) of a variable speed drive to the speed (rpm) to be set on the motor. The result is displayed with an accuracy of two decimal places. The conversion also works the other way: revolutions per minute become hertz.

If you have any questions, the app pro-vides a support page giving you the name of the contact person responsible for your region. In addition, free information about the conversion in general and videos are at your disposal, e.g. information covering installation and commissioning of the G120P variable speed drive. HomeControl for room automationThe HomeControl app offers you intuitive and straightforward operation of your heating, ventilation and air conditioning plants, including control of lighting and shading systems.

Combi valve sizerWith the combi valve sizer app from Siemens, it’s easy to select a matching Acvatix combi valve and actuator. By entering the required maximum volumetric flow and other features, such as type of connection method or DN class, the ideal valve actuator combination is recom-mended. What’s more, all data sheets are made available. In addition, the app names you the presetting for your volumetric flow. This function also works the other way resulting in the maximum volumetric flow from a certain presetting.

Energy Performance ClassificationThe EPC tool supports the user when determining the current state of an exist-ing building automation and control system and then assigns it to one of the four efficiency classes A through D. When upgraded, the tool also determines the new state of the plant. Other functions of the EPC tool are considerations regarding the profitability of modernization and fast production of customized documentation.
