A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear Holy Apostles Parish Family,
We’ve spent this past week in Family Bible
Camp learning ways to be “plugged into God.”
It has been fun to watch our families come
together to sing, watch bible stories being acted
out, play games, do family craft projects and
listen to each other. People who have attended
are giving us good feedback, so hopefully they
will attract more families in the future. Our
team has done a wonderful job developing this
program.
I have sat back and watched parents share
their joys, struggles and worries, a big group of
middle school kids enjoy each other, and people
getting closer to God. Our main goal is to grow
closer to God and have fun doing it.
Thanks to our wonderful design team who
worked together to create this, all the volunteers
and for peoples’ willingness to try something
new. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Have a Blessed Week!
Father Paul
A huge thank you to all who donated
supplies and/or monetary donations to help
us have another successful Bible Camp!
Thank you to all our volunteers and anyone
who helped us in any way! Your commit-
ment and willingness to share your time
and talent with our parish families makes
this fun week possible.

Your Gifts Make a Difference Food, simply having enough food to feed your family each
day—it sounds so simple when you have plenty. But when
money is scarce, this is one of the necessities that some
of our local families can't meet on
their own. The St. Vincent de Paul
Society provides bags of food to our
neighbors in need to help them
through difficult weeks and months,
ensuring that families have nutritious
meals each day. All who reach out to the St. Vincent de
Paul Society gratefully receive these bags along with a
grocery gift certificate. Your donations to SVdPS help feed
the less fortunate in our community. "Whoever has a
bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with
the poor." Proverbs 22:9
Four Seasons’ Invitation for Lunch Four Seasons is Holy Apostles’ group of age 50+ women

River Road, McHenry, on Thursday, July 13, at 11:30 AM.

Please Support SVdPS Tag Day “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a
drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less be-
cause of that drop.” —Mother Teresa
Saturday, July 1, is “Tag Day” for the St. Vincent de
Paul Society. Generous volunteers will give up some
of their holiday weekend to collect donations in front
of Ace Hardware, Angelo’s Market, Jewel Food Store
and Riverside Bakery in McHenry and in front of An-
gelo’s Market and Walmart in Johnsburg.
If you are greeted by one of these volunteers on Sat-
urday, July 1, would you kindly consider making a do-
nation? In turn, you will be given a “tag” or card with
an explanation of what St. Vincent de Paul Society
does and a phone number to
pass on to someone you may
know who is experiencing hard-
ship. Attached to the tag is a
wrapped Lifesaver candy to re-
mind you that although you may
think your donation is just a drop
in the ocean, it’s actually a “life saver” to many.
Tag Day is one of the ways the St. Vincent de Paul
Society raises funds to continue it’s ministry of help-
ing the needy in our own community. Have a safe and
Happy Fourth of July weekend!

committing to being a permanent adorer, either by
yourself, with a prayer partner or even a group to rotate
weeks. Many scheduled adorers are members of anoth-

mismo quiso hacer esa experiencia.

¡No tengáis miedo!
(Mt 6,31).
La an-
do.
abandonados. «Si mi madre y mi padre me abandonan,
el Señor me acogerá», dice un Salmo (27,10). Aunque
