Thank you for your continued support!

[The Angel of the Lord said,] Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus, (Luke 1:31).

Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word," (Luke 1:38).

Lay Ministry Schedule

Pro-life Reflection: The good news of Christmas is for everyone,

and especially for the unborn, the most helpless of all. Christ’s birth

was announced first to the lowly, not to the powerful.

Jesus’ ministry continued to follow that pattern: He consis-

tently sought out those who were on the outskirts of

society. We are called to do the same. Prayer: Lord, to

welcome You means to welcome the obligations that Your

mission places on us. This Christmas, I resolve to

intervene for the unborn child. - Fr. Frank Pavone

The Giving Tree Thank you for your generous gifts to

the Catholic Charities outreach, The

Roarke Center. Your gifts will go to

low-income families here in Troy.

Faith Formation Program

Classes: Sundays 9:15am-10:15am

Prepare for Christmas and deepen your experi-ence of the Advent season by remembering that

God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus. From all of us at The Faith Formation program we want to wish you a very blessed and happy Christmas and a joyful new year!! Faith Formation Classes will resume on Sunday, January 7th, 2018 in the Madden Center.

• The Office and Food Pantry will

be closed Mon., Dec. 25-Tues., Dec. 26

for Christmas, and will reopen Wed.,

Dec. 27, 2017.

• There will be no Tuesday Prayer

Group on Tuesday, December 25, 2017

and Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

• There is no luncheon following the Latin Mass this

weekend or next weekend for Christmas and New

Year's. It will be on-hold until January 7, 2018.

Income TaxIncome TaxIncome TaxIncome Tax ---- The Tax Reform Act has passed. In 2018, the standard deduction will increase to $24,000 for married couples filing jointly. This may be the last year for those who itemize deductions on their tax returns to effectively take a deduction for charitable contributions. Forbes says most taxpayers will claim the standard deduction, which means most taxpayers will never itemize deductions again. To be sure you get a Tax deduction for your charitable giving in 2018, donate now and send a check to a charity of choice before the ball drops on 12/31/17.

Attention all volunteers: There is a Christmas gift for you in the Sacristy, in appreciation for sharing your time and talents
