“Today's celebration of Palm Sunday begins Holy Week, this holiest time of the year for us. We carry out palm branches as we journey with Jesus into the holy city of Jerusalem. We gather
with the Church as Jesus gives us the gift of Himself - His Body and Blood in the Holy Eucharist. We come to the foot of the Cross with Mary, the mother of Jesus, as we see love poured out for our salvation. We wait with great expectancy and hope as the dead body of Jesus is laid in the tomb. And finally, we rejoice in our risen Lord. We are overcome with joy as Jesus rises from the dead and offers us a share in this victory - the victory that can lead to eternal life for us all. Let us, then, enter fully into this Holy Week, as we see God's plan of salvation unfold and find the very depths of God's love and power on full display for all of us to behold.”
In Christ, Fr. Tim Ralston
COLLECTION on Good Friday will be
taken for the Holy Land Shrines. Baskets

Because of the faith of many of our founding fathers, public prayer and national days of prayer have a long-standing and significant history in American tradition. The first national Day of Prayer was called by the Continental Congress in 1775. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln called for such a day. In 1952, Congress established NDP as an annual event. Finally, in 1988, President Regan signed into law designating the first Thursday of May to be the National Day of Prayer. We will have local ministerial association members praying for different areas of our community, state and nation. We are asking for your presence on that day to stand as American Christians to gather and pray for our GREAT need for GOD. Please allow for up to 40 minutes for the event. You may bring your own lawn chair if you wish. If you have any questions, please call Tammy at the Auglaize County NDP at 419-738-3161.
