The main part is the Heart which pumps blood through arteries. The capillaries pass blood from the artery to the vein.

Page 3: The Circulatory System

The major organs are the Heart, Lungs, Arteries, Veins, Platelets and Capillaries.

Page 4: The Circulatory System

It transports gases like oxygen from the lungs to the cells, transports nutrients, transports waste from cells to waste disposal organs. It contains cells that fight against infections. It maintains the Ph level. Helps maintain body temperature.

Page 5: The Circulatory System

The Digestive System works with the Circulatory System because the Digestive System allows our body to break down food. The Circulatory System then sends the food off to cells and body tissues. The Respiratory System works with the Circulatory System by sending oxygenated blood to the body tissues and then returns the bad oxygen to the lungs. The Respiratory System gives the Circulatory System new oxygen every time bad oxygen comes back to the lungs.

Page 6: The Circulatory System

The Circulatory System works with the Excretory System because the Circulatory System moves the blood around the body and then the Excretory System comes and cleans the blood.

Page 7: The Circulatory System

The blood will not get pumped by the heart. If cells do not get blood they die.

Page 8: The Circulatory System

The diseases of the circulatory system are Acute Coronary Syndrome, Endocarditis, and Conceptual Apraxia. The Acute Coronary Syndrome is an unstable angina (Chest Pains) non elevation and elevation myocardial infarction (Heart Attack). The Endocarditis is a disease that inflames the inner layer of the heart. It can be infective and non infective.

Page 9: The Circulatory System

The Conceptual Apraxia is the brain possesses ability to organize work that needs different motor skills. The ability to organize tasks is mostly lost. The treatment for Acute Coronary Syndrome is Nitroglycerin and aspirin medicine to treat this disease. The treatment for Endocarditis is replacing the heart valve and the treatment of antibiotics. The treatment for Conceptual Apraxia is unknown of any medical help.

What you can do is eat healthy foods (eat vegetables, fruits, and all kinds of meat), and exercise. It is really not that hard at all!

Page 11: The Circulatory System

A fun fact about the heart is it beats about 3 billion times in an average persons life (Wow that’s a lot!). A red blood cell takes about 20 seconds to circle a persons whole body. In a drop of blood there is about 5 million red blood cells. Blood that is full of oxygen turns out to be the color red. Red blood cells could live for 4 months feeding other body cells.

Page 12: The Circulatory System

How many times does the heart beat in an average persons life? It beats about 3 billion times. What are the major organs of the Circulatory System? The major organs are the Heart, Arteries, Lungs, Veins, Platelets, and

Capillaries. What happens if the Circulatory System Fails? If the Circulatory System fails the blood will not get pumped and if the

cells don’t get blood they will die.
