Clan Campbell

Clan Campbell is a highland Scottish clan. Their lands were in Argyll and their chief became the Duke of Argyll

WHO WERE THEY They were involved in the 1715 Jacobite

rising. They helped the British government forces fight and defeat the Jacobites at the battle of Sherrifmuir in 1751.

What did they do! During the 1745 rising they fought

the Jacobites at the battle of Falkirk. They finally defeated the Jacobites at

the battle of Culloden in 1746.

Also O In 1725 they joined other clans to

form the Black watch. The Black watch tartan was green, blue and black.
