challenging leadership roles. Our Junior Leader program is a

great place to experience new things and learn the

leadership skills necessary in the world. Please join us

diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the U.S. and over

44,330 will die from pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-

related death in the United States, surpassing breast

cancer. It is expected to become the second leading

cause of cancer-related death in the U.S. by the year

2020, surpassing colorectal cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the few cancers for which

survival has not improved substantially over nearly 40

years.

Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all

major cancers. 74% of all patients die within the first

Feeling festive? Get in the

holiday spirit by using your

creativity to design a card for

elderly residents in East

Carroll Parish. The best part

about this event is the 2-for-1

feature: a 4-H contest and

service project, all rolled into one. Contest entries will be

delivered to Shady Lake Nursing Home in care packages to

Lake Providence residents in December. Deadline to submit

your card is November 26.

The shooting camp will be

held November 30-December

2 in Pollock at Grant Walker

Educational Facility. This

camp is geared for 4-H youth

ages 12-18 who are

participating in advanced

disciplines. Participants will

choose one of the following:

Advanced Shotgun (Trap,

Skeet and Sporting Clays),

National Archery (Field, 3D

and FITA) and National Rifle (CMP, NRA 3P and

Silhouettes). Parents and coaches are welcome to attend but

it is not mandatory. The cost will be $100 per youth/per

parent/per coach. Deadline to pay is November 14.
