I cannot believe that summer is over. I feel like just when I am

getting in the swing of things it’s time to shift gears and get ready

for fall. Although the cooler weather will be welcomed, as well as

the return of our snowbird members!

I am proud to say that our summer camps were yet again a success

this year! I was amazed at the number of kids that asked their

parent to come back later to pick them up from camp. They truly

had a wonderful time and we hope to see them back again next

summer.

This years theater line up has been announced. There are some

great shows coming up so please take advantage of our group discounted tickets that include roundtrip transportation. Send in

your order forms early to be ensure the best seats are yours!

As always, please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns and I will do whatever I can to help you

enjoy your membership to the fullest!

MAMMA MIA....WOMEN’S MEMBER-GUEST INFO Hopefully, you've figured out who you're going to invite and now it's time to let us know some details. There will be a sign-up sheet in the ladies' locker room by mid-September and the following information would be helpful for us: member number, guest name (club/index), and which activities you'll be attending (Monday golf, Monday cocktail party, Tuesday golf including a continental breakfast and lunch). There is a charge of $45/player which can be sent to Linda Walker, P.O. Box 46, Schroeder, MN 55613 whenever you feel the urge......but no later than Nov. 5th which is the absolute deadline for signing up. Needless to say, the earlier the better so our committees can be prepared. Even if you're not playing golf on Monday, you can still be a part of the festivities at the Monday evening cocktail party. Get in the spirit of MAMMA MIA and join us for a fun evening of food, music, entertainment and camaraderie with a regal group of golfing queens! Linda Walker

TENNIS TALK........... The Summer is almost gone and I must say, it may have been one of the hottest and rainiest on record. Fall, with a little cooler weather, is looking

pretty good right about now. The finals of the U.S. Open will be this coming weekend. It will be interesting to see if Rafael Nadal can continue his

Summer resurgence since losing first round at Wimbledon!

Adult lessons and clinics are always available from Sam, Liz, Sonny, and Gary. Contract pros Jeff Davis (when he heals from injury) and Leon Rich-

ards are also available for lessons. These are scheduled by appointment, so give us a call and keep your game well tuned.

If you would like to receive my court emails or the evite event reminders, email me or call me with your email address. My email address is:

[email protected]. Please do not enter an event by email unless it’s with Punchbowl.com. The shop phone number is 727-867-9105.

We will have Couples and Singles Mixed Doubles on Friday, September 13. Good luck!

After School Jr. Camp will begin the day after Labor Day, on September 3rd. Clinics will be Monday and Wednesday at 4:00 to 5:30 and Tuesday

and Thursday at 4:30 to 6:00 for ages six to 18.

Many thanks go to Penny & Scott Zaccaria and Dawn & John Hagman, for their efforts to improve the facility. The sail shaders they have been

installing between the fences are already nice to sit under.

Hang in there! The nice weather is only about a month away. In the meantime keep your eye on the ball, follow through, and drink lots of water.

See you on the courts, Sam Vuille, Head Tennis Professional
