The Round Spectra-Lyte is specifically designed forparking garage applications where low ceilings, widefixture spacing and shallow viewing angles create uniquelighting demands. Neither cutoff nor refractor typeluminaires are completely suited to the challengesof parking garage lighting. With peak candlepowerat high angles, sharp cutoff and a useful uplightcomponent, the Round Spectra-Lyte respondsto all of these demands.

HEAVY DUTY DIE-CAST HOUSING

Die-casting is the most precise,consistent method of moldingaluminum. Finished in polyesterpowder paint, the RoundSpectra-Lyte delivers theultimate in durability forparking structures.

IMPACT RESISTANT LENS

The UV stabilized, high impact injectionmolded acrylic lens is enclosed andgasketed, keeping the optical systemclean and at peak performance foryears. A polycarbonate lens is available(150W and below) for vandal proneareas. A Dust-Tite (IP65) option is alsoavailable to provide addedperformance longevity in dirtyenvironments.

UP TO 200W PULSE START

With improved color rendition, higherlumens per watt and longer life, PulseStart technology is ideally suited forparking structure lighting. The RoundSpectra-Lyte accommodates a varietyof Pulse Start lamps and wattages – andit’s UL Listed for up to 200 watts!

CONTROLLED UPLIGHT

The Spectra-Lyte reflector systemhas an upper aperture that providesan evenly distributed uplightcomponent. This eliminates eyestrain and “cave effect” by enhancinguniformity between ceiling surfacesand the room cavity.

DUAL REFLECTOR SYSTEM

The main segmented anodized reflectorcontrols light and shields the lamp to restrictglare. A secondary top reflector captureslight from the top of the lamp and redirectsit back into the primary reflector, creatingthe industry’s farthest throw and bestspacing.

SUPERIOR SHIELDING

Spectra-Lyte’s dropped lens reflector assembly encompasses the lamp withits primary reflector. This allows the lamp output to be utilized most efficientlywhile providing shielding at the shallow angles necessary to meet IES Cutoffcriteria. Therefore, even at very low mounting heights, low glare and highlevels of visual comfort are achieved.

PRECISE CONTROL

The Round Spectra-Lyte produces a Type V Roundpattern with peak output at high angles yieldinghigh horizontal and vertical footcandles. This state-of-the-art optical design creates superb uniformity,wide spacing ratios and, ultimately, the mostefficient garage lighting distribution on the markettoday.

EASE OF INSTALLATION

Since the lamp is factoryinstalled, the need to openthe fixture during wiring andinstallation is eliminated. Inaddition, the Round Spectra-Lyte is shipped standard withan Easy Hanger Plate. Thisfeature not only providesunequalled mounting flexibility (shownbelow), but also assists the installer by fully supportingthe luminaire during wiring.

OPTIONAL CONDUIT MOUNTING

The Round Spectra-Lyte can be direct surface or pendantmounted with optional 3/4” threaded hubs. Feed-throughwiring (TW2) can be accommodated and the direct rigidconduit option (PND-RC) can be used on stems 12” or less.(For longer lengths use PND-OJB Offset Junction Box above).

AUXILIARY RESTRIKE SYSTEMS

Lighting is universally considered to be the mostimportant safety and security feature in a parkingfacility–deterring crime and producing a safe andsecure atmosphere. Even in the best designedsystems however, regular start-up, momentary powerinterruptions, line voltage dips, low ambienttemperatures and lamp outages can cause atemporary reduction in illumination and conditionsin which safety and security could be compromised.For added assurance, the Round Spectra-Lyteeliminates these concerns with the addition ofWide-Lite’s optional “LiteMatic” restrike system.Unlike standard current sensing systems, Wide-Lite incorporates solid state circuitry that goesone step further. Rather than react strictly toline current, Litematic operation monitors theHID lamp’s current draw to determine whenthe auxiliary lamp is needed. If the main arcis interrupted for any reason, the auxiliary lampenergizes until the main lamp restrikes andreaches 40% light output. This means as longas supply voltage is present, LiteMatic willalways assure usable light from either the mainor auxiliary lamp.

SPECIFICATIONS

Housing

The housing shall be die-cast aluminum alloy construction with satinaluminum UltraClad™ polyester powder coat finish. Easy HangerPlate and internal component mounting brackets shall be fabricatedfrom pre-galvanized steel.

Optical Assembly

The optical assembly shall have an internal reflector system withupper and lower apertures for controlled downlight with uplightcomponent. Reflector shall also shield the arc tube to sharply restrictdiscomfort and disabling glare. Downlight component shall haveType V Round distribution with sharp definition and high peak anglesto give wide spacing and high uniformity while avoiding glare in visualzones. Upper aperture shall provide a symmetrical, upward lightcomponent that provides fill light on ceiling surfaces.

Primary reflector shall be fabricated from specular, high purityanodized aluminum that is fixed within lens interior for rigidity andproper photometric alignment. The secondary, upper reflector shallbe fabricated from specular, high purity anodized aluminium andshall redirect high angle light back to the primary reflector and usefulbeam.

Lens

The lens shall be enclosed with an injection-molded UV stabilized,high impact acrylic lens. An injection-molded, UV stabilized,polycarbonate lens is optional on all wattages, however, it is notrecommended with 200-175 watt metal halide. Lens shall havesmooth clear surfaces at all points where light is emitted in lowercomponents for accurate distribution. An internally ribbed area shalldiffuse the reflector image in upper section to reduce glare and foran attractive appearance. All external surfaces shall be smooth todeter dirt build-up and simplify cleaning.

Socket

The socket shall be porcelain with spring-pressure center contact.High pressure sodium shall be 4KV pulse rated. Socket shall mount

directly to the upper reflector to assure proper photometric alignmentwith the optical system.

Ballast

Ballast is high power factor with reliable starting down to -40°F forHigh Pressure Sodium, -20°F for Metal Halide and -30°F for PulseStart Metal Halide. Ballast coil windings are copper. Crest factordoes not exceed 1.8.

Mounting

The mounting shall include a galvanized steel Easy Hanger Platewith universal provisions for 4” round and octagonal junction boxesas standard. An external set screw shall allow the fixture to be lockedor removed without fixture disassembly. Optional tamperproof screwsshall be available to prevent fixture removal by unauthorized persons.

Threaded hubs are available as factory options for rigid pendantmount to 3/4” rigid conduit or direct surface mounting with feed-through wiring.

Listings

U.L. Listed as suitable for use in wet locations and 40°C ambients.Standard construction is IP54. IP65 version is available as an option(pendant mounting only).

Warranty

User protection shall be assured by fixture and ballast componentsbeing covered by a published five-year, full-fixture limited warranty.Note: RSPP-200 Lens Warranty 1 year.
