� At the Laity Lodge web site, there is a passage of Scripture they referto as the Laity Lodge Text . It is Ephesians 2:8²10. While verses 8 and 9are often quoted, it's verse ten that captures my interest.

�For by Grace you have been saved through faith.

And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. 

� Workmanship is from the Greek word poiema where we get ourEnglish word poem. So to think more colorfully, we are God·s poem

created in Christ to do excellent work through which God intended usto make a life. 

� We work for God·s purpose as his work expression to work for his gloryin a life he intends for us and gives us through his grace.

� Looking at God·s creation, it is prettyclear that the creator itself did not know when to stop. There is not one pink 

flower, or even f i f ty pink flowers, buthundreds. Snowflakes, of course, are theultimate exercise in sheer creative glee. No two alike. This creator looks

suspiciously like someone who justmight send us support for our creativeventures.

Scarcity thinking

� If we learn to think of receiving God·s good as being anact of worship³cooperatingwith God·s plan to manifestgoodness in our lives³ we can begin to let go of havingto sabotage ourselves.

� One reason we are miserly with ourselves is scarcitythinking. We don·t want our luck to run out. We don·twant to overspend our spiritual abundance. Again, weare limiting our flow by anthropomorphizing God into a

capricious parent figure.Remembering that God is oursource, an energy flow that likes to extend itself, we

become more able to tap our creative powereffectively.

Believe, Receive

� To my eye, this is a story not only of synchronicity butalso of right-dependence on universe as source.

� I have said it before that creativity is a spiritual issue. Any progress is made by leaps of faith, some small and

some large.� ´We have a new employer,µ the Big Book of Alcoholics

Anonymous promises recovering alcoholics. ´If we take care

of God·s business, He will take care of ours.µ

� To battered AA newcomers, such thinking is a lifeline. 

Expecting divine help, they tend to receive it. Tangleslives smooth out; tangled relationships gain sanity andsweetness.

Your Thought Life

Negative beliefs are exactly that: beliefs, not facts.

Remember that in order to recover as an artist, you mustbe willing to be a bad artist. Give your yourself

permission to be a beginner. By being willing to be abad artist, you have a chance to be an artist, andperhaps, over time, a very good one.

When I make this point in teaching, I am met by instant,

defensive hostility: ´But do you know how old I will be bythe time I learn to really play the piano/act/paint/writea decent play?

Yes....the same age you will be if you don·t.

Faith moves mountains

We speak of the Great Creator, we speak of Christ but

seldom make the connection that the spiritual laws he

taught are actually the spiritual laws related to creativity.

´Knock and it shall be opened.µ Ask and you shall

receiveµ These are not mere spiritual bromide, they are

spiritual laws as they relate to manifestation.

The Creator in the ´new ageµ

� I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will besaved (will live). He will come in and he will go out[freely], and will find pasture.

It is an energy of joy. The thief would take your joy because heknows the joy of the Lord is your strength.
