WEATHER UPDATE The mild May weather will come to an end this week as high pressure develops over the region. Expect a return to hot and dry conditions by mid-week with near-record high temperatures Thursday ad Friday. Some moisture may leak into the eastern half of the state late in the week, resulting in some scattered, mostly dry thunderstorms in/near high elevation areas. Similar weather may continue next week as the current 6 - 10-day forecast shows a strong bias for above normal temperatures and a weak to moderate wet bias for eastern Arizona.
