These two players from Mexico met in the US OPEN Professional Women’s Singles Final back in 2016 where Paola won in three straight. Samantha is bouncing back from shoulder surgery that sidelined her for the first half of last season. In April she won the LPRT event in San Antonio, her third career LPRT tournament title. Samantha will scrap to steal a game, but Paola will use Sunday as a fine day to win US OPEN title No. 9. Media Team Prediction: Paola in Four Games This will be a rematch of the 2015 final where Kane won in a sweep. Since that match, Kane and Daniel have faced each other eight times on the IRT. The lone match Daniel won was an injury forfeit by Kane. Overall, Kane holds a 14-1 career record over Daniel. With Kane coming into the final as the No. 3 seed and Daniel at No. 4, this is the first US OPEN final since 2003 that hasn’t included at least one of the top two seeds. Kane was part of that match-up in 2003 as the No. 3 seed when he defeated No. 8 seed Derek Robinson. Kane is attempting to win his 10th consecutive US OPEN title and 14th overall. 2018 PROFESSIONAL MEN’S DOUBLES CHAMPIONS Daniel De La Rosa & Alvaro Beltran 2018 PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S DOUBLES CHAMPIONS Samantha Salas Solis & Paola Longoria THE 2018 PRO DOUBLES CHAMPIONS!
