With the advent of Web 2.0, there have been many changes especially in the audience as to how they consume and take part in producing media contents

It was designed by New York Times journalists displaying the stories of New York characters using sound and images
It avoids merely shedding a light on “facts and accomplishments”, but rather on “a person's passions, dreams, struggles and the stories that make up a life”
It uncovers many stories of New Yorkers helped create a more succinct portrait of the city itself
Analysis of MediaStorm and One in 8 Million
Analysis of the two media platforms in terms of
1) finance 2) participation rate 3) areas which each of the media covers
A little concern arisen…
The ways to achieve financial sustainability of online features should be sought out – media makers need income!
Technological advances have enabled media makers to produce cultural products at little to no cost
The audience are accustomed to “easy access” to “free contents/info”
