Morethan 90% of safety instrumented functionfailures occur in the sensors and final controlelements. That’s why the DeltaV SISTM system,part of the Emerson smart SIS, takes adifferent approach to safety. It diagnoses the

complete safety function including theDeltaV SIS logic solver, sensor, and finalcontrol element.

This whole-loop, smart SIS approach usesdigital intelligence and diagnostics to enablemore automated safety loop testing andother features, to increase system availabilitywhile reducing lifecycle costs and easingregulatory compliance.
