Where are deserts located?
DESERTS ARE LOCATED IN THE WORLD, IN PLACES RECEIVE LESS THAN 250 MILLIMETERS OF WATER A YEAR.
2. And 3.
THE ANIMALS THAT LIVE AT THE DESERT:
• Birds:• Roadrunner
• Lizards:• Slidewinger Rattlesnake
• Insects:• Black Widow (Western.)
4. And 1.
HOW ARE THIS ANIMALS ADAPTED TO THE DESERT?
• BIRDS:• ROADRUNNER:• THE ROADRUNNER IS ADAPTED TO THE
DESERT BY:• FAST• DIET
4. and 8.
…It continues…
• Lizards• Sidewinder Rattlesnake:
• This snake is adapted to its environment by :• Speed• Venom
5., 1. and 6.
AND FINALLY…
Insects:Black Widow (Western.)
This spider is adapted to its environment by:
SilkVenom
7.
Now it’s time for the plants…
Palm Trees
Prickly pear
Organ Pipe
10. 11. and 12.
Palm Trees:
• How is the Palm Tree adapted to the desert by:• Tall• Lots of leaves• Time to grow
13. and 9.
Prickly Pear:
• This flower/ cactus is adapted to the desert by:• Self-defense mechanisms.• Long, Flexible roots.
14. And 11.
Organ Pipe:
• This Cactus is adapted to the desert by:• Self defense mechanisms.• Water Storing Trunks.
15., 11. and 16.
The abiotic factors:
• Sunlight:• The sunlight in the deserts makes life very though for
most animals and plants in the desert. • Animals in the desert may die of dehydration
because there is so much heat and there is no water.• Some plants may die because they also don’t receive
much water and they receive too much heat, but some animals are adapted such as cactuses.
1.
The abiotic factors
• Water• Water makes life easy to many organisms around
earth, especially in deserts, when there is water around somewhere on deserts all animals go for it.
• Animals get so much “help” from water. Ex.) By drinking water animals are not that vulnerable to get dehydrated.
• Plants, such as cactuses, store water when it rains which helps them for their growth and, overall life.

Human Activities:
• Driving on the desert on off-road, bikes, etc.• This activity happens on this biome mostly

Human Activities:
• Military training exercises.• This activity happens on this biome because :
