The Ears of the Lord

Psalm 18:1-7

 1 I will love You, O LORD, my strength.

 2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

 3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

4 The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

  5 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.

 6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God;  He heard my voice from His temple,   And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.          7 Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry.

1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?.

29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

1 Come now, ye rich men, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded and their corrosion will a witness against you and e eat your flesh like fire. 19 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. 20 Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.
