Q. If I have Vaultastic (Archival account) do I still need to have a backup solution for my Primary Mail server. What is the difference between the two.
A. backup is usually used to restore to a state in case of breakdown. So if a user has deleted some mail before the backup, the backup will reflect that. The Vaultastic archival happens in real time and before the mail hits the user's mailbox. Even if the user deletes mail from her mail box, it will still be available in the archive store.
Q. What happens after the free trial period of 30 days?A. Once your trial period is over, you have the option to upgrade to one of the 3 paid
plans. If you are not satisfied with the service, you may opt to cancel and we will delete your account and data.
Q. What happens to the data after the subscription period is over?A. If you do not renew your subscription, then all mail for your domains will be automatically deleted within a week of the end
of the subscription.
Q. Which mail are archived by Vaultastic?A. That depends on the configuration in your Primary Mail server. You can configure
your primary server to archive incoming, outgoing, internal or all mail for the selected users.

Q. Do I have to archive for all users of a domain?A. That depends on your needs. You can choose to archive for all the users of a domain or selected users. The configuration has
to be done on the primary server.
Q. How soon will the mail be archived?A. Since the archiving is configured for real time transfer of incoming or outgoing mail, you should be able to see mails sent and
received almost instantaneously in the archive account (except for a new user created using the auto provisioning,where there may be a delay for accessing the archive account).
Q. Which plan is appropriate for me?A. If you want to use the vaultastic archive to reduce the load on IT and increase the efficiency of users to search for historic
data, then Plan A should suffice. If you work in an industry when archiving is a legal compliance or there are many cases of litigation, then Plan B may be more appropriate. Plan C is the most appropriate when you want to archive historical data withvaultastic.
Q. Does vaultastic archive instant messaging, calendar, filestore and other sources of data?A. No. Vaultastic is a pure email archive solution. However chat transcripts, calendar meeting requests alerts and attachments
which are part of the mail are all archived.

Q. Where is the data stored?A. The solution is currently hosted on the AWS servers at Singapore. If required, the solution can be provided from a AWS data
center of your choice.

Q. What is lifetime of mail.A. Lifetime is a property which determines the amount of time mails are stored in the archive. For example, if the lifetime is 1
year, then mail archived today will automatically be deleted from the archive account after a year. A lifetime forever means that the mail will never be deleted.
Q. What is the difference between the storage and lifetime.A. The storage is amount of storage used for an archive account. The lifetime is the time for which a mail is maintained on the
server.
Q. What happens if a user deletes mail from the primary account? Will the mail from the archive also be deleted?A. No, the archive store is separate from the primary mail store and mails in the archive are secured from accidental or
intentional deletion from the primary account.
