While she’s known as the face of the team, Edie isn’t the only one ensuring that clients’ needs are being met. Her husband, John Israel, and colleague Jim Allen are also involved throughout the course of every transaction, providing their customers with a truly comprehensive approach to the purchases or sales

of their homes. Though they each came to real estate from distinct professional backgrounds, the three share a client-centric business philosophy that is built upon a foundation of high standards of practice.

Before earning her real estate license, Edie built a successful career in medical sales and marketing. As a real estate professional, she understood the importance of utilizing a sound infrastructure in order to maximize her performance and results. John, who had management experience in real estate, was a natural choice for her team. When the couple met Jim, a former lending professional with experience in residential and commercial real estate, they knew they had found their ideal partner. “Together we have so much to offer,” notes Edie. “We consistently go above and beyond traditional services in the level of care that we provide to our clients.”

Empire and LA County. Their growing database of repeat and referral clients has the group working in a growing geographical region; “We go where we are needed,” explains Jim. Their broad reach, he notes, is invaluable to their clientele because it provides them with an intimate understanding of nuances and trends within the distinct communities throughout Southern California. “The better informed we are,” he notes, “the more accurate information we can provide to our customers. That can make all the difference in the world when they are looking to relocate, or when they are trying to appeal to buyers in a certain market.”

As buyer’s agents, Edie, Jim and John understand the importance of time. “We never want to rush the process,” John reveals. “The process of buying a home

is a complex one. We communicate with our clients to ensure that we understand not only what they are looking to buy, but why. Understanding their motivating factors allows us to better guide them to the listings that are best suited to their wants and needs.” Throughout the process the team acts as advocates for their clients, keeping

their best interests at the forefront of their actions. It is during a purchase that Jim’s background as a mortgage consultant comes into play. While he no longer handles loans, he is able to act as a conduit between buyers and lenders, working with his clients to help them understand

the often complex process of obtaining financing for their purchases.

“Jim is a highly credible resource for resolving problems that pertain to financing,” says Edie. “He typically follows up with our clients’ lenders, ensuring that communication is open and there are no last-minute problems.” At a time when lending programs change daily, Jim’s background is an invaluable asset to the success of a transaction. “It’s a bumpy ride in real estate, particularly in lending,” Edie observes. “His

tremendous amount of expertise allows Jim to help keep the process on track, and to greatly reduce the stress that buying a home can put on our clients.”

An experienced consumer, he sought representation from a knowledgeable agent who understood current market conditions. “Edie and her team were clearly in touch with what was happening,” he recalls. “It was their business, and they knew it well. Their experience in the industry, coupled with their ability to keep a transaction going despite changing requirements from the lender, made a difference.” A proactive buyer, Ardis notes that he and his wife Marie did their research throughout the transaction. “When I thought I was ahead of the process, I’d call them and find that the team was already ahead of me,” he notes. “That was impressive.” Gordon adds that lines of communication were always open. “There was always someone to answer my questions and address my concerns,” he says. “I never got an ‘I don’t know;’ instead there was always a clear plan of action on what to do next. I credit Edie and her team for getting me into my home, and have recommended them to friends and colleagues. The team is equally as proactive and organized in their approach to listing properties, as well. In addition to employing a comprehensive marketing and advertising campaign for each home they represent, the team is also hands-on in the preparation of the property for sale, offering tangible services designed to expedite the

listing process. It’s an investment for the team, but one that consistently pays off. “Right now, many listing agents are relying on signage or the MLS to generate prospective buyers,” Edie observes. “We are very proactive in our approach. We want our homes to be priced right, to be highly marketed, and to be the best looking properties that prospective buyers will see.”

Edie and her group work with a range of professionals whose services are tailored to maximizing a home’s selling potential. A design and staging specialist preps homes for photos and showings, ensuring that properties look appealing in print, online and in person. The team also works with professionals in photography and marketing to maximize exposure for every listing they represent. From YouTube to syndicated websites, to targeted print publications, they maintain a high visibility within the market. The team is known throughout their community as a group that is trustworthy and honest; they have built strong collegial relationships with other agents, which has made a notable difference in their ability to successfully close transactions.

Client Debbie Anker-Boetes, who worked with Edie, John and Jim in the sale and purchase of a home, recalls the experience as an extremely positive one. “The process of buying and selling can be complicated and stressful,” she observes. The Edie Israel Team took

on a lot of responsibility, including staging my home and arranging for minor repairs and updates to be completed. This really alleviated much of my stress throughout the transaction.” The team, she adds, were highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. “Purchasing an REO property involved a lot of complex paperwork and communication. The group was meticulous in the process, keeping detailed notes and records in order to successfully close the deal on my behalf. Throughout the transaction, they were helpful, pleasant and they operated with integrity.” In the end, like so many other clients, Anker-Boetes became more than another successful transaction; she became a friend.

As their business continues to grow and develop, so do the members of the Edie Israel Team. “We are constantly evaluating our systems, implementing new technology into our practices to keep ourselves up-to-date with the latest developments,” Jim remarks. “A significant portion of our success stems from our brand itself; our community presence, marketing and networking are

key elements in that.” The group maintains active roles within their communities. In addition to hosting a weekly newspaper’s “Ask A Realtor®” column, Edie, John and Jim are also involved with numerous local organizations and events. John, a past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Yorba Linda, continues to network with local business owners and service providers. The group is a sponsor of the annual Taste of Yorba Linda.
