Purpose

Preservatives will cause an increase in the development of Alzheimer's

symptoms

Hypothesis

The purpose of this experiment was to find if preservatives have any effect on

the development of Alzheimer's disease.

Methodology

By increasing the levels of preservatives (Calcium propionate) given to drosophila models and also exposing those to certain levels of stress will begin to worsen the symptoms of Alzheimer’s and/or begin to develop the symptoms of Alzheimer’s

Increased levels of Calcium propionate and also environmental stress will lead to the development of the plates in drosophila and eventually lead to death due to

Alzheimer’s development.

Normal Drosophila fed normal food

Normal Drosophila fed food with Calcium propionate added

Data will be collected everyday over a 3 month period, a total of 5 trials will be run

Drosophila fed normal food exposed to stress

Drosophila exposed to stress fed food with Calcium propionate added

The means will be calculated and run through statistical analysis (one way ANOVA followed by Scheffe Posthoc test)
