The 2020 Carnival Committee has decided to replace our “Virtual Carnival” with an On-line Silent Auction and
In-person Picnic during the Labor Day weekend. Now we need to gear-up the Auction. We’re excited to
already have some unique “experiences” and are looking to gather more!
Here’s where you come in: What can you offer for the auction?
How about a Sunset Sail with cocktails on Long Island Sound?
A round of golf at Tamarack, Fishers Island, Burning Tree, Winged Foot, Greenwich Country Club and,
while we’re at it, how about Pebble Beach or even the “Old Course” at St. Andrews in Scotland- yes- the sky’s
the limit if we’re dreaming!
How about a weekend on Cape Cod, in Montauk, the Berkshires or Vermont for the Fall colors?
And for the skiers- Aspen, Breckenridge, Vail, Jackson Hole, Telluride? Or closer to home at Stratton,
Gunstock, or Killington?
How about Babysitting for a Date Night?
An in-home Cooking Demo? A Wine Tasting at a local wine shop? A Beer Tasting - is there such thing?
A Magic Show for a children’s virtual party?
Halloween Decorating for your house?
On-shore Fishing Lessons for kids?
Are you getting the idea? Our goal is lots of “items’ at a range of price points to guarantee broad participation.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Food & Essentials Drive for Neighbor to Neighbor Continues!
Summer months are hardest for those in need. . .
Due to the huge and growing need, The Social Justice Committee of the Parish of St. Catherine of Siena and
St. Agnes is continuing to help Neighbor to Neighbor by collecting food and other living essentials in a no contact
format. Until further notice, there will be a car or SUV with an open trunk in the parking lot across from
St. Catherine’s church on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Please drop your bagged grocery donations in
the trunk, and we will take them to Neighbor to Neighbor. Donations can also be dropped at the Sign-in table
at Masses on Saturday, Sunday or Daily Mass at St. Agnes.
Food Items Needed:
Peanut Butter and Jelly, Oatmeal, Canned Meats (Chicken, Chili, Vienna Sausages), Chef Boyardi Ravioli,
Tuna, Canned Fruit, Black or red kidney beans (dried or canned), Cereal, Rice, Soup
Non-Food Items Needed (which cannot be purchased with food stamps):
Brown paper grocery bags, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary products, cleaning products, etc.
We are also asking for donations towards food gift cards to Stop-N-Shop or Shop Rite. Please
only mail donation checks to the Parish Office made out to “The Parish of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes”
with “Food Gift Cards” in the Memo line.
