Tega Cay Baptist Church
2nd Annual Ministry Fair
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 17 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm for our 2nd annual Ministry
Fair. The first Ministry Fair was a huge success. The church was able to enlist nearly 100
people who acknowledged that God has graciously supplied them with a spiritual gift and
that their use of those gifts in the life of the church was crucial to its overall health.
Throughout the first year of organizing church ministries around the spiritual giftedness and desires of the
people, we have seen many more church members taking on leadership roles and serving wholeheartedly. As a
result, we are engaging in ministry that we did not think possible even a year ago.
In order to prepare for the Ministry Fair, every church member needs to know what his or her spiritual gift is.
What are you interested in? How have you seen God use you in the past? What gifts in you have been
affirmed by others?
The Bible tells us in Romans 12:6, “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use
them…” Do not suppose that you have not been graced with a special gift in which to serve the Lord in His
church. The different gifts create a beautiful mosaic of various backgrounds, experiences, and passions that are
empowered by the Holy Spirit through His gifting.
Be on the lookout for more information for the Ministry Fair on May 17. Be sure to make plans to be part of
the Fair so that you will be part of forming the TCBC Ministry Plan for 2015 – 2016.
In Christ Alone,
Brad

From Pastor Brad
"Exalt the Lord our God; worship at His footstool! Holy is He!" Ps 99:5 When we worship, how much
reverence and awe do we have for the pure holiness of our Father? The Bible speaks of this important
attribute of God throughout, and one of the familiar passages on which several of our worship songs are based
is in Revelation chapter 4 where the four living creatures worship the One on the throne day and night saying
"Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" The Greek word for holy used
in this verse is hagios, meaning sacred, pure, and morally blameless. As fallen man, how difficult it is for us
to comprehend the perfection that is God. I remember a children's pastor describing the impact of God's
holiness on our lives very simply as "the good news is that God is holy...the bad news is we're not." As we
get glimpses of His holiness we become in awe and recognize how far apart we would be without the saving
grace of Christ!
"Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God ac-
ceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire." Heb 12:28-29
In Christ,
Rodger

Mrs. Minerva Crowell and family would like to thank the church for the donation to Gideon International in Jim’s name and the expression of love shown in everything that was done during this time. . .
Max & Kathy Adamski wants to thank the loving women in our church who volunteered to bring meals to Max and me during the last few weeks, while I recuperated from hand surgery. It is a great blessing to see the hearts of individuals we otherwise would not have had the opportunity to know. I am grateful to be part of this church family where sharing work and lives are a natural quality of its members. Our love through Christ, Max & Kathy Adamski
Every year we honor the life and work of Annie Walker Arm-
strong (1850-1938) when we give to the annual Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering for North American missions. As a tireless serv-
ant of God and a contagious advocate and supporter of missions
efforts throughout the world, Annie rallied churches to give
more, pray more and do more for reaching people for Christ in
North America. The month of March is set aside to focus on the
work being done by North American missionaries within the
Southern Baptist Convention. We give our money to support the
work of our missionaries on the field. Our support eliminates the
need to seek their own support so they can focus their attention
on growing God’s kingdom. 100% of your giving through the
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering goes to the missionaries.
