    INTRODUCTION

;he (nd ;imes /or the ?ast Days1 may not be a familiar conce,t to many ,eo,le. ;herefore! e first 9ie a

brief eG,lanation of it. ;he (nd ;imes means the last era. Accordin9 to Islamic literature! it is a ,eriod of time

    that is close to Doomsday.

;he si9ns in the @uran and the eGtensie references to the (nd ;imes ,roided by the 7adith literature

brin9s us to a ery im,ortant conclusion. erses and hadiths indicate that there are to ,hases of the (nd ;imes.

;he first ,hase is a ,eriod hen all ,eo,le ill suffer material and s,iritual ,roblems. olloin9 this! (arth ill

enter u,on a ,eriod of salation called the 'Golden Age,'hich is characteriHed by bounty and blessin9s due to

the ,realence of true reli9ion. With the end of the olden A9e! there ill be a ra,id social colla,se and ,eo,le

ill be9in to ait for Doomsday.

In this book! e eGamine the (nd ;imes in the li9ht of erses and hadiths. It is clear that the si9ns inuestion hae no started to a,,ear one after another! Eust as described in these references. ;he adent of these

si9ns heralded fourteen centuries a9o are 9reat occurrences that increase belieers faith in and loyalty to Allah. It

is surely not a coincidence that! in such a short ,eriod of time! all of these si9ns a,,eared one after another. ;hese

si9ns are 9ood nes to Allahs serants.

At this ,oint! there may arise some doubt in the reader in re9ards to the truth and authenticity of these
