Dear Reader, A very warm welcome to the final edition of our newsletter “e Enlightened”.We are very delighted that you have been reading our school’s newsletter with pleasure. is time I was extremely awed by the thought that I will be writing the editor’s note. As it is rightly said by Ken Doherty...“e five S’s of sports training are: Stamina, Speed, Strength, Skill and Spirit; but the greatest of these is the Spirit.” Recently we celebrated our 3 rd Annual Sports Day. We had lots of games and races to participate in this year. Sports are very healthy for us. It keeps us fit and it improves our immunity and keeps our metabolism high. But above all, the most important thing we learned was Sportsmanship. Winning and losing are both part of the game. We always learn something new in sports. We become a better version of ourselves. And this year we saw overwhelming display of talent and sportsmanship. Coming to the end of this session, I saw my friends losing with a smile and winning with a tear of joy. And at last I would say that we enlightened ourselves with better understanding and a great knowledge through sports. Shrey Agrawal–7B Generation Gap Do you feel as a child that your parents do not listen to you? Do you feel that your parents always scold you and they do not allow you to do what you want? Do you also feel that parents do not give you any importance? If yes, then you are just facing the Generation Gap. Generation Gap is the difference of Age in Parents and Children. We children are going through adolescence and we are full of energy and aggression. We do not have patience to understand the point of view of our parents. I would like to suggest to all the teenagers to have patience and think twice. If you do not like whatever your parents have said or done with you, be assured that with patience we will surely have good relations with our parents and we can remove the problem of Generation Gap. Aanya Rawat–8B Merits of Books “A Room Without Books Is A Room Without Doors of Success” Knowledge is very important. As we are living on Earth, every person aspires to be perfect, which comes only from books. It gives value to our thinking. Books are not only made for reading but it shapes our personality. Indian Armed ForceOur Indian Armed Force is divided into three parts: Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army. Indian Air Force is the air armed force which is the 4th largest air force in terms of both personnel as well as air crafts. Its primary responsibility is to support the country through airways in times of war. It has a strength of 1322 aircrafts including 680 combat aircrafts. Indian Navy is the armed force which gives us support from the waterways. Vikramaditya is the largest naval base in India. Indian Army is the armed force which safeguards the country’s land borders and protects us during the war. All the armed forces help us during the time of natural calamities and disasters and play a vital role in protecting our country. Tejas Agrawal–4B

HappinessBe thankful for all the troubles you don’t have. There are two ways of being rich. One is to have all you want; the other is to be satisfied with what you have. Accept and appreciate things now and you will find more happiness in every moment you live. Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have and offer thanks for all the troubles we don’t have. But remember, you have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life. Aastha Mishra–8B

Sports Day CelebrationI want to share my experience of Sports Day. It was celebrated on 7th and 8th of February, 2017. Sports is good for fitness. There were many sports, like Long Jump, High Jump, Ball Throw and Races — 50, 70, 100, 200 and 400 meters. It was not only about playing games and winning medals but also about activities like Zumba dance(aerobics), Pom Pom Display, Torch light tattoo, Figure Marching etc. We took part in any three events that we wanted and had command over. I would like to thank our Director Ma’am, Principal ma’am, Teachers and my Parents for always motivating me to put in my best. Kanishka Gupta –5B

Sea FestOn the 2nd & 3rd of December 2016, our school organised an annual event, which was named Sea Fest. This function was based on underwater world and different sea creatures. Our Kunal Auditorium was beautifully decorated with different colourful sea creatures. All the students participated in this fest and enjoyed it. There were many stalls organised by the

students of different classes. There were stalls of Jewellery making, Posters, Science Experiments, Models, Drawing, Games and many more. A show was also organised in Kunal Auditorium which included a Puppet Show, a skit on Swachh Bharat, and the Beach Dance. This event has given us immense knowledge about the Sea World and it was an amazing experience for all. Ayaansh Rajotia–8B

Science- As a BoonScience is the greatest blessing to human kind. It makes the world better and removes ignorance, suffering and hardship. Science has come to this world to take us away from the world of suffering and lighten up our horizon for a better future. Science has always been a faithful servant of man if used properly. If we misuse science it can become a curse to mankind. It has transformed our daily life and has provided us with basic necessities and luxuries. Science has scanned the sky, measured the ocean and revealed many hidden secrets of nature. Science is the best friend mankind can ever find. Ronak Kashyap–5A

Save TigersTigers are an endangered species and over the years the number of tigers have gone down rapidly all over the world. There are many reasons why tigers are made a soft target. All over the world tigers are the most common

animals which attract the maximum number of hunters and poachers because tigers are famous for their skin and other body parts. They are also used to make medicines and ornaments. In recent times our forests have been cut down due to industrialization and civilization which has unfortunately taken way the homes of this endangered species. Animals are an integral part of natural environment. They help us to preserve our biodiversity. So they have equal rights to live as human beings do. Human beings should stop cutting the trees and hunting tigers for their selfish means. So it becomes our moral responsibility to preserve and safeguard the tigers and make this planet a better place to live for them.
