THE COMPANY OF DAMOCLE} The following members owe the indicated number of creditable

pages by the next deadline to retain their memberships. There

would have been more ex—members and fewer on this list, but a

general pardon _has been granted one last time. The new OE agrees with this, but insists

that the axe will fall if the necessary number of creditable pages. are not received by

the deadline for the May mailing.

The amount in curves to the right of each waitlister i s listing is the amount of money

in the Treasury toward his/er first year's dues to the Order. Waitlisters are reminded

that they must respond to the Official Organ and indicate a continued interest in be—

coming a member when invited. Failure to do so twice in as many mailings will result in

the person being dropped from the Waitinglist.

Also, waitlisters should remember that an invitation must be followed up by mérhbership

in •the owing mail ing (the requirements are spelled out in the Rules of the Order

[below]), or that person's name disappears from both the Roster and the Waitinglist. Any

monies in the Treasury at that time are nonrefundable.

Back mailings are available to Waitlisters; please consult the new OE after 1 May for

specifics of Mailing # and quantity.

More Acolytes voted in this Glection than any any one

since the Order's foundation, which is. an excellent in—

dication of continued ihvolvement and strength.

There was a bit of a question about why Dirk's narne appeared on ballot when he with—

drew in the in the last mailing. The Rules of the Order are clear on the ne—

cessity of a Change of Address and Candidacy being sent to the by first class mail;

sihoe the CE can't be expected to read every line in every submission prior to putting

the bundles and 00 together, the same logic would apply to a withdrawl of candidacy.

Unfortunately the second and third write—in candidates aren't on the Roster and thus are

not able to run for office. Not all memberg voted for more than a first—place candidate,

thus throwing the totals off some .

A close race, but Burnadette L. Bosky becomes the new Offic4a1 Editor of the Order. All

moneys .(monies??), correspondence of an official nature, queries of waitinglist nature,

responses to the 00 (another hint/nudge to Waitlisters), and submissions should go to her.

This OE is more than ready for Volume 3 of the 00 to begin, and foresees

remarkable things happening within the Order over the next year.' (Like spelling names

correctly: apologies to Mssrs. Neily, Hill, & .0reno [at the least) for Ylisspelling their

antient $arnily narnes.) It's been fun, but becoming a Plain Member looks great;

The next deadline is: Tuesday, 1 May, 1979: 50 copies Bernadette L.I 'Bosky.

required from him upon becoming a member, to help defray the cost of mailing the

00 to him.

A. Waitlisters will be sent a copy of the Official Organ (00) for each mailing, &

must notify the OE in writing, upon reception of it, that he is interested in

becoming a member when invited.

automatically dropped from the Waitinglist.
