Amdt 38 : A possible Services set-up

SERVICE 1

Provision of aeronautical

information in a

standardized pre-defined

presentation

SERVICE 2

Provision of digital data

services

SERVICE 3

Value-added service with customized presentation

of aeronautical information and

data

ANNEX 15 SCOPE

States shall provide- AIP, AIP amendments, AIC and SUP- Aeronautical charts (see Anx 4)- NOTAMs/SNOWTAMs/ASHTAMs/Summs/Chcklists- PIBs

States should provide-Electronic Aeronautical charts (see Anx 4)-eAIP

- Complete data set (as defined in Chapter 4)- Thematic baseline data: - AIP data set - eTOD - AMDB - Instr Flight Proc Design - Other (TBD)-Update service (Cont/Cyclic) if operationally significant

Examples- Airspace data above a certain FL-Prohibited, Restricted and Dangerous areas within a timeslot- Procedures for a given navaid

Data filtering Temporal aspects / validityGeographic al, time window, data features,… Format (and structure)Accessibility

- Request/reply vs Publish/subscribe Metadata- CD, Internet, SWIM Numerical requirements

Amdt38 : Anx 15/PANS-AIM/Doc8126

PANS-AIM

State provisions(or « what »)

Operational provisions(or « how to »)

Explanatorytext

Amdt 38/…• Some initial tests:

• AIP Chapter• Anx 15 : +- 2/3 of current Ch4 PANS-AIM• Doc8126: +- 10% PANS-AIM

• eTOD• More tricky• Need to differentiate between data collection aspects and

output data sets• Unlike aerodrome data, there is no companion DQR for data

acquisition in other Annexes (4 and 11)• +- 50% stays in Annex 15, 50% go to PANS-AIM

Conclusion

• ICAO AIM developments in full motion• Anx 15 – ADQ : Two sides of the same coin• I.e. ADQ very much Eur impl of AIS2AIM Roadmap • >= Amdt 38

• ADQ update for Anx 15 desirable• To be clarified : EASA Anx 15 transposition
