A clear articulation of this scope of the project including market/ consumer /product range trends
research, Price range, material specifications, technology available and any other factors to be detailed
for defining the complete nature of the project. The project brief is required to be drafted in detail by
the students in consultation with the industry client and the project faculty guide. The collection Should
have 6 to 8 garments. Fabric manipulation and innovation will be the main criteria for marking. Students
can work on prints, embroidery or surface embellishments. My project will consist of two different
collections. According to the brief given by the company, I have worked on home furnishing collection.
Each collection consists of 8 to 10. First, I have done market research and trend analysis for the last two
spring/winter seasons for the Indian/European market. Then the designs were made keeping in mind
the trends and forecasts for Spring Summer 2015 and Autumn Winter 2015-16.The first collection is Bed
Linen and Dining table linen. I have worked on a theme inspired from architecture. I have incorporated
embroidery and print design elements which are inspired from the Mughal architecture. I have also
worked on some washes and print for few of my samples. Thus, this collection is a combination of all
these elements. The second collection is again Bed Linen. Here, I have chosen a sculpture theme
Inspired by the Budha. Here I have experimented with various colours to achieve those effects on the
collection to give it a good look. Bleaching, screen print, and the likes are the various techniques I have
used. This project is aimed at understanding mapping the process flowchart and documentation in an
export house. It begins with the introduction of the company i.e. company profile. This part includes
introduction of the company, its plant location, capacity, the client base & some export figures giving
idea of Exports at Orchid Overseas Pvt. Ltd.

Introduction
Background of the problem task undertaken
It is an opportunity to do the graduation project in Orchid Overseas Pvt. Ltd. which is a manufacturer
& exporter of Women’s Wear, Kids Wear & Men’s Wear garments and Home furnishing. Project on
Export house is uncommon & that on an Apparel and Home furnishing Export House is rare.
As we know, exporting is complex and challenging activity in today’s dynamic world environment as
it involves the performance of operations that determine existing and potential demand in a market.
Learning the step-by-step processes & procedures to be followed in an export contract is a crucial activity
in export procedure. So, selecting a project on mapping the process flowchart and documentation in an
export house is an obvious & important decision.

What are the different documents prepared & used for the home furnishing export?
How important are these documents? Organisational structure.

Rationale of the Study
Export in simple words means selling goods abroad or Export refers to outflow of goods and
services and inflow of foreign exchange. Each country has its own rules and regulations regarding
the foreign trade. For the fulfilment of all the rules and regulations of different countries an
exporting company has to maintain and fulfil different documentation requirements.
The documentation procedure depends on the type of goods, process of manufacturing, type of
industry and the country to which goods is to be exported. In order to complete an order for
garment, many activities like communication between different departments, the process of
outsourcing raw material, payment process, quality control, packing and shipment of goods etc.
Are undertaken.
Different departments work in synchronicity & various documents are prepared in the process.
Hence, a single mistake or lack of proper planning can lead to the rejection of the whole order or
increase the cost.
Today’s world is the global village in which each country is trading with other countries in the form
of export or import. This field has a great scope because today each company whether it is small or
big wants to engage in foreign trade. So, it is very important to study the mapping the process
flowchart and documents in an export house. Hence, selecting this project is a judicious decision.

Scope of the Study
The aim of this project report is to unfold stepwise all complexities involved in the export business
right from receiving an export order to final realization of export proceeds. It gives a detail idea of
how different departments in an Apparel and home furnishing export house work in synchronization
so that an export order is processed. This project would be helpful to fulfil many loopholes of
manufacturing, processing and analysing the export order as well as documentation.

It highlights the opulent and different shades of print which is the feature of Indian men’s and
women’s. The collection appeals to contemporary tests with startling and innovative colour palette.
Their concept is about nurturing the romantic, traditional and extravagant aspects in all respect.
The silhouettes are versatile – modern interpretations of the unstructured, billowing as well as those
that show off the voluptuous feminine shape. There is a profusion of the damask pattern print is
delicate and traditional modern. Stone like, Gemstones contribute to the sense of luxuriousness that
this label is famous for traditional modern memorable collection.

Historical monuments
India is one of the most famous countries in the world, people of India have a most ancient heritage
and historical place. As we know that India has the second fastest economy growth all over the world.
Few Historical Places Like Azanta caves, Khazuraho Temple, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Taj Mahal, all
Indicate that India have rich architectural, sculptural etc. ability. All visitors also have this opinion that
India has a very good architectural and sculptural legacy.
Indian architecture
In ascent India is example of wonderful architect; these are many monument or taximonial or tomb or
cenotaph in India ; that time build any building to take time and many labours.
Taj Mahal is one of good example go architectural view. For Taj Mahal it, there are 20,000 and 20 caror
that time spent. Today is Taj Mahal is first wonderful out of seven in the world. Ancient Indian
architecture is attracting point ‘Now for people all over world’.
Most important ascent Indian architecture place like Azanta Ki Gupha, Khazuraho Temple, Ramesh
Waram etc.
About Indian Sculptural Ability
Azanta Ki Gupha and Khuzaraho Temple is one of the good example for Indian Sculptural ability. In
ascent Indian there are best sculptures, that time Indian Sculptures are very laborious and make a
very attractive monuments and statues etc.

As we know that Indian economy is benefited by Indian heritage and historical places, because large
number of visitor like Indian an foreigner visit it and pay money. Now a day Indian government is not
concentrate this historical place result is day by day. These are many testimonial and records or tomb
present in rural area. Now a day destroy without caring and this is very bad for ascent India. I think
remedy for this situation is first up all, the Indian government squatter the all historical monuments
and records and repair and security and mention its brightness always.

The study and research is done is various area like Nehru place, Mangol puri, Karol Bag and Silam Pur. This research work is done for studying and analyzing the market segment ,different types of colors like poster, water, pigment, foil and flock color, trend, fabric trend, product stylization
The collection found mostly is for bed room and dining room, costing about Rs 15,000 to 30,000.
This market study was done in area like Connaught Place, Rajouri garden, Lajpat market and khan market etc.
Through my collection I want to show true from of the Indian sculpture and Indian culture in national and international market. The presence of contemporary face of print on the Indian textile to ensure a strong commitment to preserve the modern traditional awareness of national and international trends.
One of their most valuable contributions have been to reinterpret traditional techniques to modern requirements and test ensuring survival and continuity.
Therefore, taking the market potential in consideration, Ihave planned my colourpalette, fabrics like cotton, poplin and satin to design bed sheet , pillows, cushions, table cloth, table runner, mattes, and table lamp etc.

Findings
1. The organization is well organized and systematic.
2. The merchandiser is the connection or the key player between all the departments.
3. Every department has their key roles well defined, and the supervisors who keep track of who is working on what in the department.
4. Cutting head, stitching head, finishing supervisors and other heads are the main people with whom a merchandiser deals.
5. The cutting process of samples is coordinated with cutting department.
6. There exists a supervisor over every group of 14 tailors and a supervisor over all the 2 stitching lines.
7. The finishing process of samples is coordinated with finishing department and there a worker is fixed who works for sampling as well as production department.
8. The fabric and garment testing are done by SGS, an external testing laboratory.
9. Embroidery work, pattern making by CAD, research and development are done by 133 Unit.

Conclusion
A systematic approach towards any work leads to a great work done. I have done every detail research regarding to my theme sculpture, architecture and script arrange fabrics swatches for different kind of print on garment.
Firstly, I have taken main theme Historical monuments after that, I have selected three sub- themes under it: Sculpture, architecture, and script.
Then I have clicked all visuals to come up with mood board, client board.
A proper market survey has been done to collect all information for.
Finally after a lot of research I have come up with my designs and have made the prints inspired from the theme.
The print samples are developed in print lab on different fabric.
