ION Vision is the event for architects, specifiers, clients and suppliers. Held annually, it is

the place where these communities come together to discuss, debate and showcase

the latest innovations and developments in architecture, design and the built

environment.

The event focuses on new and innovative building products and materials and provides ideas andsolutions for new and inventive ways to achieve better building design solutions and comply withchanging legislation.

Through a series of seminars and case studies delivered by leading international speakers, alongside acarefully curated exhibition of cutting edge products and solutions, Vision is the meeting place forprofessionals connected to the built environment and a unique opportunity for suppliers to showcasetheir products.

We have agreed late opening hours – as some busy Architects tell us they would like to visit the

event in the early evening. Opening hours on the 7th June will be 11am until 8pm, and will

incorporate our incredibly popular drinks reception, open to all Exhibitors and Visitors.

The use of technology continues to evolve across thevarious disciplines connected to the built environmentand infrastructure. Technology Talks will explore thedevelopment of BIM and its impact on the builtenvironment through a series of high profile casestudies. This seminar stream will also address howaugmented reality and 3D printing is shaping howarchitects, engineers and their clients are working withthe latest technologies to develop new systems andsolutions for the built environment.

A host of innovative materials and systems are available toarchitects, engineers, designers and their clients. FutureMaterials and Systems will focus on the range of materialsavailable, how healthy products are at the forefront of thelatest innovate projects and provide a range of casestudies where these materials and systems have beenused. The stream will also provide an opportunity tounderstand the latest research and development inmaterials from academic and research institutions and howthese can be incorporated into future projects.

A series of case studies delivered by clients, architects,engineers and consultancies highlighting the latestinnovative architecture and design projects acrossdomestic and commercial buildings through to retail,education and health as well as the link to the publicrealm. This stream will focus on issues such as spacesaving buildings, offsite construction, as well as focus onhealth and wellbeing and how sustainability runsthrough the heart of buildings and spaces.

There is a general understanding that better buildingdesign and the connection to public spaces across citiesand towns provides health and wellbeing benefits.Building health and wellness stream will look at casestudies where government, health and industry researchhas shown changes in behaviour and increased activityacross the population.

A smart city uses digital technologies or information andcommunication technologies (ICT) to enhance qualityand performance of urban services, to reduce costs andresource consumption, and to engage more effectivelyand actively with its citizens.We will be covering the following areas:
