Scholarship

The Benson Agriculture and Food Scholarship helps members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in financial need obtain higher education or technical training in specific areas of study related to agriculture. Appropriate areas of study include (but are not limited to) agronomy, horticulture, animal science, and nutrition.

What are the requirements in applying for the scholarship?
• Qualify for university studies or other post-
secondary training
• Be living in and planning to attend school in a
developing country and intend to work there
• Demonstrate financial need
• Receive and submit ecclesiastical endorsements
• Have served a full-time mission or be excused
from service (male applicants only)
What are the next steps in applying for the scholarship?
• Complete the application form (send an email
request for an application to:
• Scan the completed application form (including
ecclesiastical endorsements) and send it to this

• The application will be reviewed by the
scholarship committee.
