SEASONAL COLLECTION
For Scabal’s innovative fabric collections, Autumn/Winter is the season for rich textures
and colours and a return to the signatures and intricacies of classic suiting.
For Autumn Winter 2017 stripes, pinchecks, glenchecks, herringbone, tartan and printed
jacquards all make an appearance, among a palette of rich autumnal neutrals including
black, charcoal grey, midnight blue, bottle green, rusty reds and browns and deep hues of
blue and indigo. Tornado, Galaxy, Autumn Leaves, Charme, Eton, Galaxy and Festival
all return in new colours and textures, and three brand new collections are added.

for fuss when simple elegance and easy sophistication will also leave onlookers in a spin.
Made in England under the expert guidance of our highly experienced craftsmen,
Tornado is a fine cloth in a medium weight of 320g, with 2ply construction. With a sturdy
construction that is easy to tailor, the collection is a go-to choice for stylish dress suits.
Including a range of designs such as jacquard inspired stripes, multicolour stripes, graphic
checks, soft glenchecks, micro geometric patterns, micro herringbones and graphic checks
the Tornado collection is grounded in a palette of blues and greys, with highlights in
modern brown.

How can one look at a galaxy, the director Ridley Scott once asked, without feeling
insignificant? Faced with such an astounding reminder that everything we are and know
and do is simply one part of a vast and expanding universe, it’s a good question. One
answer might be to wear it.
A modern update of a classic cloth, Scabal’s Galaxy Collection is a huge collection of
ninety fabrics across 90 shades that, while predominantly made up of blues also includes
sophisticated mid and dark melange greys, browns and melange greys. With a variety
of designs such as glenchecks, coloured pinheads and graphic, classic and pinstripes, this
composite selection, woven from a fine Super 110’s wool with a comfortable weight of
280g, is entirely made in England and boasts Scabal’s famous bloom finish.

A Super 130’s quality weighing 280g, Eton is on the fast track to becoming a signature
Scabal collection. With a refined air and focus on subtlety, the collection is typical
of Scabal’s comprehensive approach and includes year-round options all rich in
notable details.
Already highly popular, Eton will continue to be the first choice with tailors and
clients alike with well-balanced designs in soft, smart wool. The collection’s seemingly

leaves turn and the evening light starts to soften, there’s a fresh sense of anticipation and
expectation in the air.
Scabal’s Autumn Leaves is a Super 130’s and 120’s collection in wool and cashmere,
perfect for the new winter jackets. Including more elaborate designs using jaspé yarns
to accent the refined finish, the collection offers designs including checks, overchecks,
glenchecks and tartans in colours from pale to bottle greens, rusty reds and blues from
across the spectrum, sometimes blended for a strong, high contrast look, and elsewhere
softly finished for a more refined result.

Stretching across Scotland from east to west, a speedboat trip across Loch Lomond will
showcase landscapes as diverse as they are breathtaking. The area is not just steeped in
legend and history – it’s alive with it.
Loch Lomond inspired the name of this jacketings collection introduced this season,
which is made in Scotland, and imbued with its character. Designs include herringbones,
hopsack and overchecks as well as plain. Crafted from Super 140’s and cashmere in 320g
weight, the designs and colours are elegant in their simplicity.
