Our pedagogical ideology emphasises applying, producing and using information for creating new knowledge and innovations.

We constantly evaluate and develop our learning and teach- ing activities. Our approach provides us with guidelines to answer the requirements of working life. Applying innovation pedagogy means studying that is strongly working life-oriented.

For students, project work provides working life competen- cies and valuable contacts. For organisations and communities, the projects offer possibilities to make use of the applied research conducted by Turku University of Applied Sciences.

Internationalisation is an essential part of our studies. Students have many ways to improve their international and intercultural competences for example through exchanges, projects and extra-curricular activities.

Many foreign students come to Finland for a shorter exchange period, but also to complete a whole degree. Exchange students typically study in our international semesters together with the Finnish students.

The faculty of Health and Well-being offers a variety of courses in English in all the degree programmes. We provide incoming exchange students with high quality services to support them during the exchange period.

Our research, development and innovation (RDI) activities are multidisciplinary and international. Projects are carried out together with companies, organisations and other universities and research institutes.

The project activities create added value for our students by offering motivating learning environments.
