Attaching pads to Rack

The SD1000 Drum Rack comes preassembled with all clamps already in place. Once assembled, refer to the Simmons SD1000 Manual for instructions on how to hook up cabling, set up the sound module, connect to your computer, and more.

Pull rack out of box. (Right side rack is packed separately in same box, so remove at this time for assembly)

Loosen wing nuts on side arms and snare clamps so you can rotate bars.

Pull the side arms and snare arm out into their playing positions.

Attach right side arm to rack, which was packed in separately in the same box.

Tighten wing nuts on side arm clamps.

Loosen L-rod wing nuts on tom clamps. Insert textured plastic of L-rod into tom clamps and tighten wing nuts.

Loosen wing nuts on pads. Attach pads to L-rods and tighten wing nut on Tom Pads.

Loosen wing screw on drum rack.

Place drum module into drum clamp.

Tighten wing screw to secure module.3

Insert each cymbal arm into the rack clamp.

Insert short hi-hat arm on the left-side arm’s cymbal clamp.

Remove wing nut and felt washer from cymbal tilter. Place cymbal pad on tilter assembly.

Re-attach the felt washer and wing nut. Tighten wing nut.

BASS DRUM, HI-HAT PEDAL and Pad Connections

Place the bass drum pad on the floor in the center of the rack as illustrated.

Attach your bass drum pedal to the bass drum pad (pedal not included).

Place the hi-hat pedal on the floor and to the left, as illustrated below.

Connect the marked cables from the pads to their corresponding inputs on the drum module.
