The Flight of the Arrow is a seasonal newsletter devoted
to events and news in Wulapeju Lodge. This newsletter is
available to all active Order of the Arrow members in the
lodge and is distributed to all registered, due-paying
brothers. All information about future lodge events and
registration, including banquets, conclaves, fellowships,
and yearly membership renewal, will be included in this
newsletter as available, along with messages and letters
from individual chapters as well as members of the Lodge
Executive Committee.
A Letter from Lodge Chief Dan K.
Hello my fellow Arrowmen I hope that you are all doing well
as the summer camp seasons approaches and starts. I look
forward to the Fall Conclave at Canyon Camp where we will
have Fall Elections and the Lodge Executive Committee is
looking for new young and energetic members who may be
interested in serving on the LEC, so make sure to be thinking
about whether you want to play an important role in Wula-
peju lodge and if you want to make a change! I will be looking
forward to seeing some of you through out the camping sea-
son as well as at the Fall Conclave in August. Until then I wish
all of you the best in the coming times.

It's just about the
most exciting time of
the year: summer
camp season! For
those of you who
have only been to one
Conclave or
Fellowship before,
now is the perfect
opportunity to
experience some
more! These events
keep getting better
every time, and it is a
culmination of hard
work by all the
Arrowmen. I am
personally looking
forward to a great
summer camp
experience on staff at
Canyon Camp, but
whatever camp you
go to, don't waste
such a great
opportunity to get
involved in the OA
over the summer. I
hope every one of
you have a great
camping season!
Will C.
Treasurer
Fellow Brothers, I know that many of you out there do
not go to camps because money is an issue. I thought that this would be a good time to address you
and say that there are several scholarships
out there. Do not slack at fundraisers,
however. For popcorn, you can easily raise $300
every time. Do not just give up and not go to camp because of money. As Fred
Rogers said, "look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping”.

Gokhos
Andrew G.
Hello fellow arrow
men, I hope
everyone's having a
terrific start to
spring. Gokhos has
been fairly busy with
meetings and a work
day that is on May
4th at Camp Lowden.
Where we are giving
a nice cleaning to the
OA Cabin there. We
have selected to do
the rain gutter
regatta and air
rockets as activities
to do at the U.S Grant
Pilgrimage. We are
spreading the word
about the Section
Conclave, and are
preparing for the
Spring Fellowship.

a day for a project at the
Belvidere Zoo, but we need to
get more information first.
Mawat will also talk about a
campout in the future. That is all

Elangomat?
Attention all leaders: do you want to leave a legacy and make help guide the future of our lodge? Did
you Ordeal have a significant impact on you? Finally, do you want to serve cheerfully in a way that
few other lodges can? If you an-
swered yes to any of these ques-
tions, you might want to consider
being an Elangomat. An Elangomat is
an incredibly prestigious position that only a few lodges offer. Ba-
sically, Elangomats volunteer to go back and redo their Ordeals in
order to guide the next generation of Candidates and help them
find the Arrow. Elangomats will be offered certain perks in the
lodge such as free T-shirts available only to Elangomats and other
privileges at the Conclaves and Fellowships. Sound new and excit-
ing? That’s because it is! If interested, then please contact us and leave some of your contact infor-
mation. Have a happy summer in Cheerful Service! For More Information Email

EXAMPLE
Once again this year the Or-
der of the Arrow ran the Cub
Scout Fun Area at the Grant
Pilgrimage. We were not sure
we were at the correct func-
tion this year as it was warm
and sunny all day. Not the nor-
mal cold and wet day. We had
about 200 Cub Scouts and
their family’s go through the
area and all had a good time.
