Breakdown of Educational Objectives: Needs Table

• Kids will recognize symptoms and forms of food borne illness as identified by the national Fight BAC Campaign.

• Kids will recognize food borne illness as a problem directly related to their own personal practices

• Through their actions, kids will demonstrate a need to share food safety information with friends and family members, particularly when seeing a violation.

• Kids will wash their hands for a full 20 seconds voluntarily at needed times.

• Kids will know what food needs to be refrigerated and understand the importance of doing so within 2 hours.

• Raw meat and juices should not be consumed. Kids will understand why raw meat is dangerous, and identify how safe foods should be kept separate from raw foods and juices.
